If it’s a thinning at top/ front it helps to change your hairstyle to the hair coming forward ie fringe.
A good cut makes a significant difference.

If there was a cure woman like Elaine page & Gail Hunniford who both had wonderful thick hair would have used it.
This is an image of Elaine’s hair now.
You can see how thin it is on top.

What is a hair topper?

Many medications can exacerbate hair loss. What are you taking?

A topper is a clip in hairpiece, usually to cover just the crown part of your hair.

My daughter has very thin hair, she's suffered since she was in her 20's. I bought her some hair vitamins from Holland and Barratt. They worked really well, I'll see if I can find them on their website

Do you have thyroid issues? I have lost most of my hair because of that. The menopause can make thin hair worse too. I'm sorry to say that I haven't found anything to help really. I just embrace my baldness!

Many years ago, a hairdresser in Switzerland explained that a daily dose of millet flakes [it's pretty disgusting but seems to work] will prevent further hair loss. I have had very thin, fine hair all my life. Seems to work - have now been taking it +30 years. Obtainable from H+B. If you have further questions, please send a PM.

No, I've not found anything, sadly. U hair is just full of wide partings throughout.

A hair topper is my best suggestion, just to cover the issue.

I’m nearly 80 and just recently I’ve noticed my hair is much thinner. I’m worried it’ll eventually all disappear!

I’ve tried supplements like biotin and collagen to no effect. I’ve tried washing it less often. Used that German shampoo advertised on TV to prevent hair loss. I’m too old for HRT. Sprays do give an appearance of thickness but don’t stop the underlying problem.

Any suggestions that others have found to work please. Are there any products you have found that stimulate new growth or ar least preserve what I have left?
