It can only be your decision- if you feel well and didn't know you had the condition then what reasons has the doctor given that you should take it?

After being told I had to take certain drugs for the rest of my life and managed to stop taking them, I am cautious about being prescribed medecines I don't really need.

I think you need more info before being able to make an informed choice.

Go back to your doctor and write down your questions.

good point keepingquiet, I was just wondering if anyone else is taking it

I've just been diagnosed at 68 with a heart condition I never knew I had and have been offered the new heart drug mavacantem. It feels scary to take it, I had chest pains a couple of yrs ago & went to drs fully expecting to be told it was nothing, but a problem was found in that my heart is larger than it should be for genetic reasons and I have a weak valve. After loads of tests I'm about to be offered the above, is anyone else on it? I get really tired and dizzy quite a lot, but I have other conditions that could also cause that
