Husband has had stroke

Happened yesterday teatime. It’s the type where there’s bleeding on the brain. It has affected his right arm, right leg, speech etc. He is in hospital, I am in bits.

Going to hosp this afto. Please send positive thoughts.

Please remember that his condition right now is not the final outcome. It takes a full year for the recovery to plateau where you will be able to see how things are. Medical care and physio as appropriate will change things radically in that time. Make sure he does his exercises!!

I too thought of you Primrose this morning.

My husband had a very unexpected heart attack in 2020, so I’m hoping you’re looking after yourself too, it takes a toll on us carers.

My husband made a good recovery and is still with us, I wish the same for you and your husband.

So near to Christmas - how horrible for both you and your hubby .
Treatments these days are so much better than they used to be .
I know so many people , who've made a full recovery .
Physiotherapy is the key .
Just expect a few years of frustration from him .
