I was diagnosed with an angiomyolipoma in 2008. Told they would regularly monitor for growth as when they reach 4cms they need treatment as they can spontaneously haemorrhage. In 2016 I was diagnosed with a second one and monitored. In January 2020 hospital discharged me - I think possibly due to Covid pandemic. Nobody saw me after that but had bad ankle swelling so I asked GP if I could have an ultrasound on the AML's. Another 3 had grown since 2020, not picked up as I wasn't being monitored. Had a CT scan November 2024 when actul size of the largest and original one was 3.7 cms. Another CT scan due in June as they are keeping a close eye on it now. They tend to leave the small ones alone. The other 4 I have are still small. My kidneys are ok with GFR of 76 which I believe is good for my age, also 76.
