Sending thoughts to all BD's and have best nights possible.
Doodle Fingers crossed you won't need to have an operation. I hope you're still able to get out and about.
SweetpeaSue I'm sorry your bladder pain was bad again, but glad you managed to get out with Fluffball later on. Your husband does have a few different things wrong, but having blotchy ankles isn't usually a symptom of heart failure - it might be a vascular problem in general, though. It's bound to make you worry. Pulmonary Fibrosis can occur for no real reason, and it doesn't appear to be associated with Asthma. I've got lung function tests at the end of this month.
Wyllow3 Well done on getting your hair done. It always feels nice to have it washed and cut, doesn't it? I love that feel. Wish I could blow-dry it like they do. You can get better, you need to believe in yourself more. We're all willig you to get back to your old self.
Little Girl arrived at 8, played with the new toys I got her, but loved crawling into the large box one thing came in
. I've got a little sand/water table for her, for this afternoon. The house is completely upside down, with the men doing the wardrobes. Back later x
Wyllow It's good you've managed to have a haircut . That's something I should still do but just put up with DH cutting the length into a 'sort of' bob.
I so wish you could get back some energy for life. Perhaps a change of meds may help, I don't know. Hope you can get the gardener soon and you can see things growing. It might give you a lift. We all believe you can do it Wyllow.
HVDY You've a full day today with Littlegirl and the workers doing the wardrobes. I remember my DGS used to love the water/sandpits.
Ah I see - DHs ankle blotches were most lively Vascular as he's problems there with the Subclavian artery. Good You've got the lung function tests at end of month- that's also when DH sees Respiratory Dr.
Doodle Hope you're still managing to get out and your hand isn't causing you a lot of pain. Thinking about you.
Another Fluffball day and a small walk around a village river(stream really) and lots of ducks to fascinate her. She def cheers up DH - she follows him everywhere and he's smitten.
Think I pulled one of my ribs trying to stretch over and tie Sweetpea up. Not bothering GP as they don't usually bother with ribs. Oh heck, I stripped bed so will have to go make it up- DH will help.
Hoping everyone is ok and the warmer weather lifts spirits a bit. Love to all and those not mentioned. X
SweetpeaSue You'll have pulled a muscle, not a rib, I think. Easily done. Muscles (at our ages) need to be warmed up a bit first before making movements we don't do regularly. I'm glad you had a nice day with the fluffy friend. The weather's been lovely. The wardrobes look great - I've started filling them with clothes and handbags (DH has got 1 wardrobe, I've got 2
). Little Girl was as good as gold, as usual.
HVDY Oh I see, well whatever it is is right on my lower left rib , I ' felt ' it go yesterday. Never mind , it'll probably heal faster if it's a muscle- hurts when I breathe in, but I'm sure you're right. Ageing is great fun isn't it? - not!
Your bedroom must look great- it's so refreshing to see a room made over isn't it.
Doodle I've been thinking- I know I overthink- but here's me moaning about doing the bed and I mentioned DH would help, and there's you with only one hand, so to speak, and alone. I'm so sorry , I didn't mean to be clumsy . I hope you've beencoping OK today.x
Sweetpeasue you are doing your best to take care of yourDH. Keep going he’s worth it.sorryaboutthe bladder pain
scaredycat have a lovely time with your sister
Wyllow having your hair look nice always helps
HVDY ibetlittle girl loves her new play table. Cardboard boxes are always a successful toy though.
Sweetpeasue I didn’t even think of it till you mentioned it no worries. Luckily I changed the sheets on the bed a couple of hours before my fall. I’m afraid housework is taking a backseat now. Glad your DH has fun with Fluffball
Ellie Anne hope you’re ok
Isnt that often the way, HVDY? They love the box or the wrapping….the sand/water table is a super idea. I’m glad the wardrobes look good! Your bedroom will be lovely.
I have someone come round for the haircut, SWeetpeasue. A real ouch on the pulled muscle. It’s so good to hear DH gets comfort from Fluffball and good to hear about the walk round the river. Hoping the Respiratory Doc can help.
Doodle definitely leave the domestics. I hope you are still managing to se your friends and go out?
Ys, I share your thoughts on EllieAnne and other BD regulars.
Thank you all for the kind words all. The old Wyllow is far away atm. Today I had to get up very early (for me) for the cleaner and have been very tired. I must try to have a walk tomorrow.
Night night dear BD’s present and reading and take care, see you in tomorrow.
Hi all
Just to say I,ve caught up with you all and thinking of you .
I,ll try and write later if I can but as you can imagine there’s lots of chatting and visiting to be done!!
Take care lovely friendsxxxxx
Wyllow3 Children and cats love boxes
. It's beautiful weather, hope you managed to go out for a short walk.
ScaredyCat Enjoy your time away.
Doodle How are you managing with things?
SweetpeaSue How are you both today?
How's everyone else?
DH went to Son1's to fix something on his car, came back 3 hours later. I've changed the beds, put 3 lots of washing out, sorted out a lot of clothes and bedding for the charity shops. It's our anniversary, so we're going out for a meal tonight. Love to ALL x
Doodle Hope you've managed today and your hand isn't too painful. No housework for you. Thankyou for encouragement- yes ,keep going indeed.
HVDY Happy Anniversary to you both. Hope you have a delicious meal out.
Scaredycat Don't think about posting - just enjoy your time with your sister and family. Hoping you don't run out of steam.
Wyllow I think I need to get a hairdresser to the house too, though I'm nervous of not knowing what to say. I hate having to get up too early ( such as calling Surgery) Not an early bird. Hope you managed a walk today but don't beat yourself up if not. The old Wyllow is still there- she just needs to know it's safe to surface.x
Took aunt out this morning and she enjoyed the chat and company. Lazy day today - sat in garden and read for a while. DH filled some pots and I put in some dwarf runner- bean seeds. All I could do really.
Such summery weather - hope everyone has had a decent day. Love you all.
HVDY happy anniversary have a lovely meal
Hope everyone is ok..
I’m managing with one hand but everything takes twice as long. My elbow is huge and purple but I know it’s not broken because they x rayed it.
I’m sorry I’m not writing much but it’s quite painful to type with my left hand as my left shoulder is bad. Sorry that doesn’t. Make much sense.
Had a nice day eithfriends. Love to all
Hi Scardeycat, it’s great to see you in. I can imagine you are very busy catching up and lovely to see your sis at last.
I did manage a walk, HVDY. I “people watch”, and it was sunny. Some WhatSapps with Son.
I haven’t quite got to the next stage yet, which is venturing into the cafe then sitting outside with a coffee. I find busy situations difficult - yet lonely too.thats the way it is tho, isnt it, with loss and depression.
My, you’ve been a domestic goddess today. BD award…I hope you had a lovely meal out for your anniversary.
Sweetpeasue My hairdresser can natter for Britain, it’s hard to get a word in edgeways, so I dont need to know what to say. It’s easier than a salon, tho. I’m a slow starter in the mornings, too. It’s great you take your aunt out, it probably makes a real difference for her life. Well done on the runner beans and DH for doing his bit. Every little counts.
Aw Doodle, your poor bruised elbow. Things dont heal quickly, do they. Good to hear you got out with friends.
Thanking of absent BD’s as ever.
Night night all xx
SweetpeaSue Thank you. We went to an Asian-fusion restaurant, which served English food with an Asian twist. It was gorgeous. Do you grow much in your garden? Home-grown veg tastes much better than shop-bought.
Doodle Thank you. The restaurant was very busy. We were the oldest people there
. Your elbow sounds painful. Glad you saw friends yesterday.
Wyllow3 I love sitting and watching people. I like to guess what they do for a living or their age. I had pan-fried spiced salmon, mashed potatoes, asparagus and broccoli, with Makhani sauce, and a side order of Bombay potatoes. You must koko, you'll get there in the end.
It's a lovely morning. Yet more washing on the line. Need to clean some windows today - Jaffa's nose and mouth prints are on them
. Hope everyone has adecent day x
Just popping in to catch up and say hello. Sorry about your arm Doodle. Glad you have family support. Thinking of everyone. HVDY J started reading backwards and first thing was details about a meal, and I immediately thought, that must be HYDY. 😁
Not been great or doing a lot, but c'est la vie! Just afraid of becoming antisocial.
Hope your pain has eased Sweetpeasue.
Love to all.x
nadateturbe You must know how I hate cooking
. How are you?
So tired, which means I'm in the house too much. Tests for low BP and fatigue and faint feelings (heart? Hoping its just M.E.) inguinal hernia, uti problems - like yourself, stomach swelling, usual pains of course and more! (You did ask! 😊 )
But what can you do? You just do your best to be content. Online is very tiring. I've just finished A Time To Speak by Helen Lewis a Jew who survived. Which makes you think...
It's great getting older
. I remember getting to 60 (6yrs ago) and saying I wasn't on anything, only an antidepressant. I did aqua aerobics 3 times a week and Zumba 4 times a week. but I'm glad not to have anything serious.
Evening all I’m thinking of everyone. My arm is painful so forgive short post. Just know I’m reading and thinking of you all x
Wyllow Glad your hairdressing experience is easy enough for you. I like people watching too though I'm sure I do it so they would never know. I think that's why I'm super attentive to any glance from others - I know I'm so much more conscious and aware about things than so many others. Certainly than my DH. Not to mean I think that's superior in any way. Just to mean I'm hyper- aware. Hope it makes sense.
Doodle So sorry you have hand pain. Please don't concern yourself with posting much here. We all understand and just want you to be able to keep up with your meet ups with friends.
HVDY We don't grow many veg in our garden as it's so small. Don't have a garage where others have- just a concrete hardstanding where it is meant to be. Left it like that as otherwise casts a shadow on garden. We grow potatoes in buckets stood there and then runner beans in pots. Isn't cleaning windows the pits! Looks nice when they're done though.
Nadateturbe Think of you a lot. Understand the way you describe your painful conditions. If you say it how it is, you'd not be understood anyway. Just ME is quite an understatement me thinks. You just do your best- sure you do that so very well.x I've been watching a film about the holocaust and someone who helped the Jews survive. Only watched it halfway through as couldn't watch all at once.
Not good this morning. I'm just so very tired and when I wake my DHs illnesses go through my mind and I can't get them out of my head. I mean, why the Vascular Surgeon dismissed his Subclavian Steal when he's so much pain daily in his arm/hand/shoulder. Dealing with the breathlessness/tight chest now, but the Sub/steal still needs to be dealt with.
Feel so low, sorry.
HVDY getting older is certainly not for the fainthearted. At 60 I cycled, jogged, sailed, hillwalking in the Mourne Mountains. But at least we did the things. I think you've done tremendously well considering what you'vebeen through HVDY.
I think actually everyone on BD cope so well and are very positive.
Just lost a post. Sorry I'm just too tired to post again.
Wishing all a peaceful night. X
Sweetpeasue That feeling must be awful, to waken and then in a second all the worry comes back. I'm amazed at how much you and your DH manage to do in spite of the worry. I do pray he gets some answers. I hope your rib pain is ok. I think its very easy to pull a muscle now. Unless it's unbearable I generally give things a few days of resting the affected area and painkillers.
Sleep well.x
Sorry I can't chat to everyone. Love to you all.
I’m glad you enjoyed your meal out, HVDY. Very yummy.
Yes, good drying weather.
How very good to see you in nadateturbe. ( I dont forget your song, from where your name comes) sorry for your exhaustion, and pains, it must be very hard. Yes….what can we do, but cope with what has been dealt x
Thinking of you too, Doodle
I understand what you mean, Sweetpeasue. I try to look presentable and blend in. Weldon for the potato growing, I’ve read about that way of doing it. No need to apologise about saying you feel low, in BD’s no need to pretend. Oh, I do wish for you the worries about Dh could be less.
Very cross with myself as I moved carelessly and twisted my knee - I’ve iced it but it’s painful and I really hope it doesn’t last long - walking for shopping and more has to get done. I’ve been as low as it can get, too. We koko.
Best possible nights all and thoughts to those not in and reading.
Nadateturbe We used to walk some of the fells in the Lakes. That must have been beautiful in the Mourn mountains. At least we have those memories and we have been there. Looking across from a high viewpoint is exhilarating isn't it?
DH just finished the stair carpet yesterday. We were walking on underlay for quite a while but he was so glad to complete it after so long. He admitted it was too much but he 'got there'.
Lovely to see you in. You're right about pulled muscles and the wait.
* Wyllow* Oh dear ,your poor knee! You have an uphill struggle - hope it heals quickly. As ' low as you can get ' is a horrible place. Koko Wyllow and the only way is up from now. .It was my aunt that showed me the bucket potato thing.
