Does anyone have the NHS.app and do they find it efficient please.

I’ve got the App but the only thing I can do is order a repeat prescription. I can’t see my information etc.

Thank you RedRidingHood - my mother-in-law has Patients Know Best and it seems to be used intermittently and not by everyone.

Wondering now what to do.

DH and I have it and find it good in parts. It’s great when it works, especially for ordering repeat prescriptions and checking blood test results (such detail!). But there are two medical conditions on mine that are actually from someone else’s record, which I really need to sort out. Also, DH has had a lot of scans, procedures, tests, recently - some are on there, others aren’t, which can be a bit frustrating. Some appointments are duplicated, and he’s apparently on a waiting list for treatment that he had 6 months ago. We have links on there to Patients Know Best and Doctor Doctor and they’re both hit and miss too. I feel it’s still a work in progress.

I wish we had an NHS app in Scotland. My Dh is seriously unwell and I now spend a lot of time chasing up people for various things. It’s so time consuming, both for me and for the NHS. If all his info was on an app, it would be much more efficient and far less stressful.

SueDonim [flowers*. Some years ago, before the NHS app existed and records were paper and film rather than computer files, I was seeing different consultants at different hospitals. My records were forever being mislaid and it was so frustrating. Sometimes I’d go to an appointment only to wait for ages while a search was made and eventually to be sent away because the appointment couldn’t go ahead without my records. Some people campaigned against it being digitised, I was delighted. I hope things improve for you and your husband.
