Just been started on a diuretic .....

Discovered very elderky lady had been treated twice for urine infection as had been running to toilet often. Third time admitted to hospital for investigation. Apparently, she had been listening to all the advice constantly in the media about making sure you consume a lot of fluids and had been overdoing it. Problem was she had caused a sodium deficiency. Yes, hydrate but be careful. The nneighbour is fine now.

PS forgot to add, two GPs didn't even have urine sample tested. That's NHS nowadays.

Bluecat, I'm the same, if I'm going anywhere I don't take it till I come home, when I first started taking them I lost half a stone in a week...must have been half a stone of fluid
