Feeling rough

Started last week with a very sore throat, now a full blown head cold. Muffled hearing, stuffy nose but dripping like a tap, lack of energy and a dry tickly cough. Had planned to get out for a walk this morning to try and clear my head in fresh air. But, all I want to do is snuggle under a blanket in the sofa. Would you force yourself to go out in the cold or stay home in the warm???

I hope you are staying indoors OP as advised by everyone and starting to feel a little better.

Wait for the sickness and diarrhoea which I got at the end of this awful virus, I hope you dont get it but if you do I hope it goes quickly !

Poor you. Rest is the only cure. Lots of drinks and a saline nasal rinse help too.

I am just starting to feel better after 8 days.
The nose is clear, the throat is no longer dry but the cough remains, mostly at night when the catarrh runs down the back of the throat. I have no chest condition.
However the worst aspect now is the fatigue, I wake up tired and within a couple of hours am ready for bed again.
Little appetite not helping.
I am 88, not used to colds at all so maybe I just need time.

Have taken advice and just stayed indoors in the warm and rested. I feel so much better although I have a an annoying tickly cough. Today I must venture out as I need some shopping. It will be a quick visit to the supermarket then straight back home. ๐Ÿ˜Š

How old are you, 4 !!

Surely you know by now how to manage your own common ailments without resorting to posting for advice here and no, Im not being rude. I just find it incredulous you need to even ask the question.

Incredulous or incredible? How old are you JdotJ

Jdotthat's just what you are being, rude, it comes across as spiteful.
Who do you think you are? A poster asks for advice, it annoyed you and instead of being constructive, or not posting, you went out of your way to be nasty. You really should apologise.

Travelafar, I hope you are feeling much better now and taking it gently getting back into routine. These bugs (that SOME people think are trivial), can really take it out of you!
