Calpol was available from 1959. My mother wouldn't have trusted it for at least 50 years.

Horse Liniment. Black & White box, can't remember the name and can't find it online. It stank.

Aquaflavin (? spelling) for cuts and scrapes, I loved the smell.
Paraffin gauze.

Angers Junior Aspirin, I seem to remember it was soluble and orange flavoured.

Lots of the above.

Owbridge's cough mixture.
I've just read that it contained alcohol and chloroform!

Dequadin lozenges they really worked.

Squiffy

Parrish’s Food Iron Tonic was a regular in our house. It was supposed to build you up. We then switched to Iron Jelloids. Like others, a dollop of cod liver oil and malt was also dispensed - I quite liked that!

Was going to say Parrish's food too .... and Philosan ... which fortifies the over 40s.

I asked for some recently in the chemists Marydoll but it is now sold as calamine cream, apparently.

It soothed the numerous insect bites this summer.

Lion ointment and Savlon, too.
