I need some advice PLEASE, my Husband is retired, but does help out as a homehelp, he does a good job, and is appreciated by his clients, thats fine, but now he seems to just want to shop and shop, having recently been a victim of fraud, he still hasnt learnt a lesson. He is on the computer for hours a day, looking at different sites for used goods, ok these arent cheap things, this time it is a MOTORHOME!he is obsessed with wanting to buy one, we owned one for years, but found it expensive in the end, as we didnt use it a lot, so sold it. Now he is determined to buy another one, today he is looking at these things in Germany, we live in Sweden, to travel to look at this model pictured on the Internet, involves him flying to Germany then taking a train to the place where they are selling this, so this is all going to COST, why not look at a little more expensive motorhome HERE, where he could easily travel within THIS Country to look at one, I mean if he doesnt like this when he gets to Germany, well, what an expense. PLEASE can anybody help me as to a solution to this obsession, I am really worried, and dont know what to do, we really cant afford his travelling all over the place chasing a dream.

These posts have rung a bell with me. My husband took up pipe-smoking many years ago (he was a non-smoker when we met but breakdowns and a couple of spells in mental hosp led him to resume smoking). He smokes outside in the car port because I really cannot do with the pipe in the house (he smokes it non-stop) because of the smell and the nicotine on the walls, particularly as I do all the decorating. He collects pipes, he must have thousands. Boxes and cupboards full of them in the car port, the glass re-cycling box is full of pipes, there are boxes of them in the spare bedroom, his chests of drawers in the bedroom are full of pipes so all his shirts hang on the outside of the wardrobe, his underwear is piled up on top of the furniture, I can't clean properly. Some of the pipes were expensive, he spent money on them when we were on our uppers. Because he recently had a pot leg for several months and he often throws himself around in his sleep I moved into my granddaughter's bedroom. He wants me to return to the marital bed but I can't face sleeping in what is 100 times worse than a student room (my side of the bedroom is always neat and tidy). Fortunately he is not computer literate so he can't buy any online although asks me to log on to pipe-shop websites to see what's out there. We're about to inherit some money, he's already bought a pipe in anticipation and I know he'll buy another one or two or three when we receive the money. But at least we're solvent, he checks the bank balance every day on the phone and financially we're OK but this obsession actually disturbs me. And I don't want to sleep in a pipe storage facility that looks like a jumble sale. AIBU?

Grandmama ... what about a display case to round them all up?
