How do I clean this pan?

I put mine in the dishwasher, and when it comes out tada it's cleanable. I found this out when my teenagers were responsible for the dishes.

Cover the bottom with a thin layer of water then a layer of washing powder e.g. Daz. Leave to soak overnight, scrapes off easily next day.

Oh snap I made a frittata on Thursday in my horribly expensive new Le Creuset( the black and red sort)and I'm still soaking it with vinegar and bicarbonate. They are not supposed to go in the dishwasher. I feel fed up. I think leaving it on the lawn might work as we have very hungry badgers who will eat anything. Possible even the tin.

I would suggest soaking these in a large container of boiling water and biological washing powder for 24 hours, then scraping the residue off with plastic spatula. I have soaked saucepans using this method when I forgotten them and let them burn dry!.It worked on them. If that does,nt work you might have to buy new ones.

Love cooking but I must be the only thick one here but what is an egg muffin?

I read these comments with my jaw dropping open. How much would a new muffin pan cost? Just throw the thing away and start again Life is far too short to worry about such things and to waste time which you could be using to do something more interesting!

For the Le Creuset or a pan worth keeping, I would use ACE (biological) stain remover (in a big turquoise bottle)
Pour a very little into the bottom, gently bring it to a simmer, making sure the bottom of the pan remains covered. The burnt bit will lift off.
For a bun tin, baking sheet or the like - buy a new one.

DM always cleaned the frying pan like that, water plus a drop of washing up liquid and then simmer it on the hob (but don't forget it's on there!)

What about Oven Mate from Poundland, soak it in the bag? No good for non stick pans though! If yours was, lol?

I would probably throw it away tbh.

Carolpaint an egg muffin, I think, is a mixture of eggs and other ingredients similar to a quiche filling but baked in muffin tins with no pastry. You can cook them and then keep in the fridge for a few days. Really good for a quick protein filled breakfast or an easy to transport packed lunch.

I made them for the first time yesterday and put a circle of baking parchment at the bottom of each tin and sprayed the tin with oil. Not entirely clean when it came out of the dishwasher but easily scraped off with one of those things you get from Lakeland that look like little flat pieces of hard white silicone with rounded corners.

Soak it in bicarbonate of soda solution.

I won two boxes of Astonish cleaning supplies in competitions and they contained things that I would never have thought of buying. I would just get 'kitchen cleaner' or 'bathroom cleaner' and suchlike. They have something called Grease Off which is a spray and it works really well for frying pans.

A good layer of salt, preferably Epsoms but doesn't really matter, a little water to soak 2/3 hours, job done, usually.

I think that getting things like this stuck inside baking tins is one of my pet hates. I think time and soaking is the only real answer.

My dog is great at cleaning burnt or spilt food off tins and dishes. Then the utensil goes in the dishwasher. Voila!

Try Fairy Platinum - it is supposed to be for grease. But I now use it for all cleaning jobs around the house. Brings up sinks et a treat, so worth a try! With all the tips you've got something should work!

Boil the pan with washing soda in the water - 10 minutes should do it.

I agree with Youngeil, chuck it out and buy a silicone one. Or an ordinary one.
Life's too short for all that faffing around!

Update . The vinegar and bicarbonate really did nothing except make the house smell li,e a chip shop. I had some Vanish gold sitting by the washing machine and put that in today. It's worked a treat. Goodness knows what it does to clothes.
