How do you all clean your oven including the glass door? Does bicarb and vinegar work? Any magic ideas would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

I use Ovenpride, wipe it on last thing at night and wipe off the next day.
You get a thick plastic bag for the wire shelves put some of the liquid in the bag with the shelves give it a shake and leave it until the next day.
Thing is to do it regular and you will not have a problem.
If you use you oven daily and allow the build up of grease for months on end it will take longer to clean.

Buy the cheapest oven cleaner you can find. They are usually far better than the expensive ones.

I had a domestic science teacher at school who stated categorically, "Young ladies, clean your oven every time you have used it."

It's good advice, but I still wonder if she did so in her best bib and tucker on Christmas day and other occasions when the whole family was assembled.

Usually I dont spend time on this. I use the cleaning services. Сashless payment, professional cleaning. My kitchen is always in brilliant condition.

The Oven Pride kit is the best I have found and I have tried many methods over the years. Wilko do their own version which is cheaper. As the years have advanced I have found it helpful if the oven door lifts off and the oven is not an under the counter one so not so much kneeling down is needed.

I did swallow my pride and asked DH to do it the last time it needed doing and he was happy to do it so I think I will delegate the job to him permanently. My mother always used to clean the hob, rings and wipe out the oven with a soapy cloth after Sunday lunch, every Sunday without fail but I am not so committed to housework as she was. I do have a friend who does this too and she says it keeps the mess under control.

Like many on here, Oven Pride. BUT I try to minimalise spills. Easier to keep it clean than to clean it.

So true GagaJo - my dad taught me from a very young age that if I wiped something every time I used it, it would never need cleaning. He did national service so the standard was high!

I haven’t always followed through but it is true as I sometimes know to my cost when I don’t bother!

I think you should do professional cleaning of the whole house as professional cleaning happens only once a year.so professional house cleaning is benefits for you.

How to Clean Your Oven

There are various ways and products available on the market that can be used for cleaning your oven. With natural, biodegradable wood stove technology, such as Jotul or Harman stoves, vermiculite is put in the oven before lighting up. The heat from the stove causes the vermiculite to turn into very hot glowing coals. Read more.

We have just had our oven professionally cleaned, after 3 years of use. It honestly looks like new. I could never have achieved that by myself.

I agree Antonia that is next on my list. I must find somebody new to me because the local fellow in my opinion is pricing himself out of the business charging nearly £100.
