I'm finding it hard to find good quality bath mats. The ones I really like are £65 for the mat and £45 for the pedestal mat. Will have to save very hard for these but will only want to look at but not use at that price. Anyone got any ideas for me to find good quality but cheaper mats. Thanks.

Annsixty don't take any notice of the 'yuk' brigade and their tactless remarks because so often people just say such things because they do not have a clue. When illness and injury occur it is amazing the lengths to which we have to go and the ingenuity that is required to make living doable. I guess it really is horses for courses, doing the best you can in your circumstances and using what we can to be fresh and clean in our own homes. As for my present domestic circumstances I am really missing my mats and am longing to get them back down on the bathroom floor as soon as I get the green light. I cannot clean the bathroom floor myself and have to wait to get messes cleaned up - now that really is 'yuk' in the true sense! sad

Ikea. Mine have been washed and washed and washed - still absolutely fine.

This thread didn't go the way I wanted.
To be honest some posters have been down right rude and have not thought about what they have said. I only asked where to get decent mats from.
Would hate to see what comments I received if asking for something really important. Don't know whether I will ask anything again.
By the way I have got some new ones now.

Nanawind, don’t worry about the way the thread went - that’s just how it goes sometimes, and does happen when the original post hasn’t been looked back at (pedant alert...!)
I occasionally squirt round the base of the loo, where it joins the floor, with a bleachy cleaning product and always have a pedestal mat down, which I usually get from Matalan or Asda.

Since having a ten year old boy living here, the idea of a pedestal mat is looking quite appealing. smile rather a yuk about the mat than paddling around in wee.

Gave up mats around toilet years ago, along with carpet ugh! Buy easy to wash bath mats from supermarket, primark etc.

We buy ours from Ikea. Easy to wash. We don't have one around the loo but a large and small one in front of the basin and shower (no bath here). They get shook out and washed as needed and are easy to wash. Good range in Ikea too. Don't see the point in paying too much for them.

I have a Tumbletwist brand bathmat. I inherited it when we moved house 33 years ago! Money was tight back then so I washed and used and have used it ever since. Admittedly it is heavy when wet so I always put a couple of towels in the washing machine with it.
It still looks brand new!!!
