We live in a modern, very well insulated flat and use a 4.5 tog duvet all year round. Most of the time in the summer it only gets pulled up in the early hours and in the winter, if it's really cold we have a lovely warm throw that goes over the top.

We have a 4.5 tog in the summer and a 10.5 for the winter.
If it's very cold in the winter I have a crocheted blanket with I put on top.

I’ve recently bought a silk duvet which is ideal for warmer summer nights and another 13tog wool one for winter which I’m hoping will do the trick from October onwards.
