I need to paint the woodwork my hallway and stairs. This involves 9 doors plus door frames and skirtings, so it's a big job.
It is currently gloss white. It was done about ten years ago and is looking really yellow in some parts as it was oil based paint

The gloss is too glossy and the satin looks a bit like undercoat to me as it is too matt. I sound like Goldilocks!
In the older threads the comments were that the water based satin was hard to clean and not hard wearing.
On the other hand, is gloss a bit old fashioned?
Is there a water based gloss that won't yellow but will be hard wearing and a bit less glossy, because it isn't oil based!
I usually use Dulux trade paint - though I am only a diy-er.
Any advice or specific recommendations for good paint would be welcome.
I gave up driving two years ago. I am nearly 85.
