I'm curious about beach huts. We don't have them here so I am not familiar with them, but have seen so many quaint photos on instagram, etc.

What sort of amenities do they have, and who owns them? How are you allowed to put one on a beach?
plumbing (toilets)?
electricity /heating/small fridge?
can you stay overnight in them?

They look marvelous.

There are some here in Lancashire on the coast, St Annes, think there may be still some in Clevely's not sure.

I priced one up for the day in St Anne's it was around £130 for the day yes! the day, they do have cooking facilities in electric and water I believe, but an expensive day out! but If I'm right you can have 4/6 people there . Your not allowed to sleep in them.

In W Sussex, only the council can build them. Some can be bought from council or current owners (about £15k?), others are rented out for the season. No electricity, water from a stand pipe. To have a cup of tea, you need a camping gas stove.
