New Vax cordless

I was looking for a previous thread but couldn’t find it. Anyway, I thought I’d share my new buy.

My Dyson has been a nightmare for years being very heavy to use and not particularly effective on carpets or anywhere for that matter. I’ve read some of the Gransnet threads in the past so I made my. Mind up to buy a new cleaner.

Yesterday I ordered a Vax cordless and paid £219 for a machine with two batteries, included tools and a toolkit worth £50 with other attachments I was going to buy from Am…. but after exploring the Vax site I found I could buy a better model for the same price plus an extra battery. It came today.

Well, I knew the Dyson was not very good but what a difference. I’ve got beautifully vacuumed carpets, free of bits, fluff etc. It came with printable guarantees via email plus the invoice and 3 years guarantee with the machine and batteries already registered. I also printed the user manual from their website. It did stop working at least twice because the roller was clogged up. This was because of all the non-cleaned bits from the Dyson. So easy to declog and empty once I’d investigated the instructions.

I loathe housework but for once I’m very glad I’ve managed to buy a vacuum that works, is light weight and actually does what it’s supposed to do.

I don’t work for Vax but I’d really recommend this vacuum.

I might even get the vacuum out much more frequently. No more bits from sewing everywhere.

I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. It's such an important purchase and I've just bought badly recently. Thank you.

It's amazing, the difference when something actually works properly. When my new Shark arrived, I tried it out, although I'd already cleaned - and was horrified at the amount of dust and grit it removed from carpets. I had to keep emptying it and the floors looked different, all fluffy and groomed!

I've tried my daughter's cordless vacuum cleaner and I must say it is very good. So light and easy to use and no bloomin' cord for me to negotiate. I hate cords.

Very timely post. Our G-Tech cordless has stopped working so we were looking for recommendations for a new cleaner to replace it. I will never buy a Dyson again, as you say they are just too heavy. Obviously no thought was given to women, particularly older ones, by the people designing it.
