I keep seeing it mentioned, but never see it in anything but a small bottle - maybe I’ve never looked in the right places.

I know I could try Amazon, but nowadays I try to avoid it where possible.

I don’t get the mystery.
It’s either the clear version of malt vinegar - or “non-brewed condiment” as it is sometimes called and cheap as the chips you sprinkle it on, or alternatively if this recipe warrants the posh sort, one of these ( 2nd pic) available in any supermarket.

I buy it from Amazon. The big bottle I get from Amazon is too heavy fro me to decant and my son decants it for me.

I bought a spray bottle of white vinegar from Wilko at £1.50. What did shock me was the price of Bicarbonate of Soda powder. It used to be 75p, it is now £1.75. How on earth is it now so expensive? If you need household cleaner, I'd buy it before the prices go up again.

5 litre bottles from Amazon, also lemon juice. When we lived in London continental food shops often sold large containers of white vinegar and malt vinegar.
