Anyone noticing that tomatoes etc are going mouldy early.

This is more recent. Used to last well in the fridge but lately nowhere near the same amount of time. Could it be that it is taking longer for stores to receive goods? Or is there another reason. Perhaps it is just me.

They were from M&S. Bags of satsumas didn't last either.
We have no dates on produce now, so the only thing to do is return stuff.

I'm inclined to agree.

I don't, however, think this problem is going to resolve any time soon. Obviously there are 'issues' in the supply-chain and I have no idea what is being done to deal with them. But if we start returning these items, it might concentrate a few minds - or maybe not, who knows.

What is noticeable is that just about every company, organisation, service, etc is pleading the same "due to a shortage of staff... (etc)" and, if held on the 'phone we're told that they (whoever they are) are experiencing an 'unprecedented' high volume of calls (etc) due to staff shortages.

What is actually going on? It seems we haven't returned to anything remotely near 'normal' since the lockdowns ended.

I keep finding that, too.

I thought it was my fridge, so got a new one, (which turned out to be exactly the same as my old one) and still my tomatoes are mouldy.

It's quite put me off eating them. (Tomatoes, not fridges)
