Flaxseed enjoy steam mopping. smile
I'll be using mine today. I can't use an ordinary mop because of arthritis in my hands.

Mine is in the loft.

Delivered yesterday and I love it! Sturdy and the cord is a decent length. Mop head area is bigger than I expected.

I was disgusted when I looked at the mop head after a quick wipe round to test it out. confused

Oldbat1 - I should have bought yours off of you!
Hetty - DGS2 is crawling, cruising the furniture at the moment so is either in socks or bare feet. I have told DD2 to put dark socks on both boys now grin but maybe I have solved the issue with my shiny new mop wink

Oldbat1 - and mine's in the cupboard under the stairs. I've only ever used it a few times. My grandchildren have slippers and Crocs here - to avoid the dreaded black socks (why do they wear white ones anyway?)!

Mine sits in the garage.

Thanks for your advice everyone. I have ordered a shark with a rectangular head smile

Whatever make you eventually decide on, I suggest you buy the type with an oblong mop head. My first steam mop was triangular. It's impossible to get into corners with those. My current mop is a Shark. Probably five years old now. smile

I’ve got a Vileda and I find it light and very easy to use.

I have just replaced my old Vax one with a Black & Decker. The new one is much lighter and easier to use. I've only used it on the floors so far though, not tried any of the other functions.

I've a Vileda but can't get to grips with it at all. My son gave it a go and wasn't particularly impressed. Mind you I don't know if he has used others for that comparison.

I've been very impressed with my Shark one.

One daughter bought one at vast expense when her cats brought fleas into the house, it is capable of killing flea eggs due to the temperature achieved. It is a vast great cumbersome thing but absolutely does the job, steaming furniture etc. The other daughter has a bargain one from Lidl, does much the same job but doesn’t get o the flea killing temp. I think you take your money and get your choice!

Despite constant run rounds with a cheap mop, my grandchildren still go home with filthy socks/feet hmm
We are quite rural and it’s a never ending battle to keep on top of dust, plus we have three cats.
I have had enough and am going to buy a steam mop, but like most gadgets, there’s so many to chose from!
Does anyone use one please?
Sorry if it’s been asked before
