A new bed
New tv
More suits.

An extension! We are in a bungalow so it's a possibility.

I really wouldn’t spend it on any room in the house. I’d go on a good holiday.

Well having read the thread on feather pillows, I’d buy 100 down pillows ( hope I’ve got my zeros in the right place ).Also hope this doesn’t count as a TAAT

I'd buy a new kitchen if I was given 10 grand for my bedroom.

A new bed and wardrobes

How much would a new carpet and a mattress cost?
I would have it redecorated and new curtains. A holiday would be good.
Anything left? New pyjamas, a merino dressing gown and slippers.
Ha Ha Maw . You are probably correct.

MissAdventure Sun 02-Aug-26 18:58:08

Carpet and mattress, money no object...
I suppose £3000 would cover it, but I really have no idea.

My answer is fitted furniture, new bed, big big telly and a bottle of fizz 🍾🥂

A new bed. New doors for my wardrobe. New carpet and curtains and a lovely little chair.

Half of it on a re-design of my garden with summer-house built in place of my greenhouse and veg beds (using all my existing border plants, so no expense there) and the other half to my girls.

MissAdventure Sun 02-Aug-26 20:38:24

I could spend that 10 thousand on my bedroom, actually, now I come to think of it.
The door opens the wrong way, with the light swirch behind it, so you have to shut the door to turn the switch on.
The switch is upside down
. I'd still plump for a new kitchen, though.

A new en suite shower room. Mine needs an upgrade but I can't afford to do it.

sodapop Sun 02-Aug-26 20:58:11

Air conditioning

A trip along the Silk Road, then some new shoes.
If there’s any left , LOTS of 1m pieces of fabric for patchworking.

PaperMonster2 Sun 02-Aug-26 21:17:17

A new bed. I’d also like flat pelmets over the windows. We’ve fairly recently spent much less than that on fitted wardrobes and dressing table; the carpet is new. All we need is a new bed! Oh and I’d have the en-suite decorated.

Plevey08 Sun 02-Aug-26 21:38:36

I'd have a total refurb-bliss and the air con like sodapop. It's the room that really needs it. Sweet dreams tonight imagining it.

NotSpaghetti Sun 02-Aug-26 21:41:47

Decorating, a new carpet and new pendant light fittings...
But I have other things more urgent/ fun!

BlueBelle Sun 02-Aug-26 21:45:45

CrazyUSA you never come back and say what you would do why so many questions, are you a robot ? Or a very curious person or just wanting the Guinness book of records for how many questions you can ask grandmothers ?

JenniRen Sun 02-Aug-26 21:52:09

I'd buy a yacht and sail round the world.
