Do you think you know when you are going to die?

Welcome to "Franksnet"
You've got to admit it, Frank played a blinder there....
Frank alone knows...
soop
where to begin.................................
I shall sleep well tonight now I know the FULL story.
Obviously this has been the subliminal cause of my insomnia.
Frank
Before you go, glass would you be kind enough to explain to me - who did what to whom ...and why?
glamma I am confused again now, how many coats do you want your cloaks to accomodate.
Thank you absent & frank knowing the full story I now feel content and can go about the rest of my day.
I'm sobbing [with laughter]
And our Frank keeps coming back for more.
Glamma, I confused, is it your cloakroom that takes two coats? Doesn't most people's?
Oh! Franks probably takes all the staffs outdoor clothes as well.
absent thank you so much for that.....I don't know why you say you have no sense of humour
goes off wiping tears away, to change underwear

.....(puts arm round Absent's shouders).....come on Absent - he's not worth it. Here, have some chocolate.
Bangs head against wall, tears out hair and leaves the room sobbing noisily.
Hi Absent
I have copied your thread in to word and I will amend it slightly.
It could be useful if I have to mention this subject again.
Possibly I should say when instead if as new threads come along all the time.
Frank
Perhaps though in future the details could be pm'd?
I am very grateful to now know the whole story as there were some gaps in my knowledge. Absent's post now needs to be amended where appropriate and saved for future new GNers.
My sympathies are even more with Frank - I'd have bonked her on the nose!
when you're lucky our room takes two coat's

Well, that's cleared that up, then! My life is complete!
Absent this should be archived in the event of further scurrilous claims on Frank's goods and chattels!
Now, I've got paint to watch - it's still not dry........
Hi Absent
In relation to point 2 I consider the house to be large for the type of 4 bedroom detached house your more average person is likely to buy.
All 4 bedrooms are double bedrooms, there is a double garage on 1 side and enough room to build a double garage on the other side.
In relation to point 3 the lady had a 3 bedroom semi detached house.
I think she probably felt it was not right to stop overnight as I was in the house.
In relation to point 4 in addition to what you say I don't think some of her supporters understood that a house can be split into tenants in common ownership and 1 parent can leave their share to the offspring in spite of the fact the other parent is still alive and living in the house.
In relation to point 6 it was clearly out of order to phone me asking when I was going to leave the morning after my father's death.
In relation to point 8 I celebrated the news as I thought it would be the end of all the hassle.
In relation to point 9 I am not giving the family £100,000. I don't know where the supporter got the figure from.
In relation to the dog our old dog Dougle died at the vets in the evening. I was going to ask Dad about getting a new dog the next morning but Dad said he wanted another dog within about an hour of Dougle passing away.
The next morning I phoned a friend in London who is a real dog lover and he recommended a breeder in Luton.
The breeder really wanted him to go somewhere local but he realised how upset we were and decided to sell Andie to us.
We did visit the breeder occasionally with Andie and I will be visiting him again soon.
The breeder said if we went on holiday abroad he would like to accommodate Andie free of charge but this has not happened.
Frank
Well done, absent. I tried that on another thread but not nearly as comprehensively or elegantly. But it still went on and on and on....my brain hurts.
Thank you absent. Having returned to GN only recently I quickly became aware of the financial phenomenon known as hunterf.
Without your concise summary I might have missed a vital detail. Then again it probably won't be long until he imposes the whole sorry tale on reiterates the fascinating history to us.
Absent - brilliant!!
So, let's make sure that we have all got this right, shall we?
1) A lady befriended Frank's father and was told at the start that Frank was on the land certificate as a half owner of the house and that the other half was left to him in his father's will.
Note that the first move seems to have been the lady's rather than Frank's father's so perhaps the joint ownership of this now famous (on gransnet) house was not quite such a strange topic to discuss when beginning a relationship as it first appears.
2) Frank was living with his father in the large four-bedroom detached property in Sutton Coldfield as his wife had passed away and he had early retirement and a London pension.
Frank has not yet specified whether he considers the house large because it has four bedrooms or if it is genuinely large in addition to having four bedrooms. No doubt he will clarify this point in the future.
3) The unnamed lady never stayed overnight in the house as she owned her own more modest house.
Frank is probably too much of a gentleman to pursue any other ideas that might provide a reason why the lady didn't stay overnight even in one of the two spare bedrooms. The number of bedrooms in the more modest house has not been specified.
4) Some 18 months into the relationship with Frank's father, the lady demanded that Frank should leave and take the dog with him.
Clearly, the lady had not listened to or not understood the explanation about the ownership of the house that she had been given 18 months earlier. For those who have not been following carefully, the dog is called Andie*.
5) Frank then described how his father "jumped in and said in very uncertain terms that was not going to happen". The lady then left.
I suspect that the jumping father actually made his intentions clear in no uncertain terms.
6) Three years later Frank's father passed away and the following morning the lady, who had not been in touch in the intervening period, telephoned Frank to ask when he would be leaving the house and handing it over to her.
It is not known, even to Frank, how she found out about his father's passing so speedily.
7) During the next nine months Frank was unable to walk down the street without somebody approaching him and asking him when he was going to hand over the house. Recently, this popular support for the lady's false claim to the property has fizzled out.
Frank reckons that as many as 20 people were involved in this harassment and even abuse**.
8) Last week one of the lady's friends told Frank that she was in hospital. He decided not to contact her. Later he was told she had died.
He celebrated this news.
9) When he was walking down the street over the weekend one of the lady's supporters said that he should give her family £100,000. He does not intend to do so.
It is not known why this particular sum was specified or whether Frank possesses it.
* Frank and his father jointly owned Andie who still lives with Frank in the large four-bedroom detached property in Sutton Coldfield. Andie is a male dog.
** Frank can supply details of the repairs and maintenance costs he shouldered, including a new bathroom installed in the June after the lady had ended her relationship with his father.
