Three months ago I received my Tesco statement with money off vouchers - I usually get 'money off' coupons - only for small amounts, but I used them (seems a good idea if I'm buying the product anyway). I emailed Tesco asking why I hadn't been sent coupons and was informed that not everyone is sent them every quarter, which was news to me, as I'd been getting and using them regularly for many years, and everyone I know who uses Tesco was sent both vouchers and coupons.

Today I received the new quarterly vouchers, and yet again no coupons.

Is anyone else having coupons withheld?

I prefer Tesco to Aldi. Customer service in Aldi is shocking, fed up with having my items nearly thrown at me at the checkout. Tesco is not more expensive, considering Aldi compares their prices with the big brands and not Tesco own brand. And no,I don't work at Tesco.smile

I will be looking out for coupons now Boheminan as I sometimes use the same Tesco as you do. It's the same distance for me to get to Sainsbury in another town though, so I prefer to use that, it's smaller, friendlier, and often has some good offers.I rarely use the Waitrose, and wish we had a Morrisons.

Impressed by Aldi staff, cheerful and helpful. Yes, quick and busy as well but never idly chatting or trying not to see customers.
I think the speed of their staff may actually be connected to Aldi's impressively low prices ...

I live in south London and there are 3 Aldis near me plus every other supermarket you can name. tesco - ghastly brash colours and overpriced. Love Aldi and Lidl, no loyalty cards etc can get round quickly. Good quality food, interesting bits n bobs, cut flowers good in both stores too. I do like waitrose for special occasions. Don't know what happened to the free tea n cake in John Lewis , think it was just too popular.

I can't stand Aldi. they always look messy and grubby to me and customer service is dreadful. Have bought meat from them , on recommendation and it was tough.

I use Tesco in the main. Also use points. Yesterday I bought £100 worth of clothes and gifts on the 'double up' scheme so they only cost me £50.
I use reward points to buy magazine subs for several Christmas gifts. I don't feel Tesco is any more expensive as most of the supermarket compare prices now.

Interesting how people see things differently isn't it ?

I use the points tooginny . Always double up for clothing for myself. The staff in our Bridlington store is fantastic and I always enjoy shopping there.

We used our Tesco clubcard vouchers to buy a big flat screen TV at half price. Great bargain! DH has just used them to renew his senior railcard and in the past we have had ferry crossings, theme park days out with the DGC, RAC membership and many other things I've forgotten. We always use ours and I cannot understand DD who just says "I can't be bothered with them"! Why wouldn't you? confused

I've just received my quarterly Clubcard thingy and have £6.00 in cash vouchers as well as the usual coupons, so they aren't being phased out round here at least.

BTW did anyone watch the Despatches programme about Aldi on Monday night? Their poor staff seem to have a rotten deal - not to mention some of the fruit and veg...hmm

Yesterday Received my Tesco money off coupons, plus usual vouchers, so they are still doing them after all.

I didn't get money off vouchers this time. Mine were all bonus points. Not happy sad

So, it does appear to be random then.

Tesco haven't responded to the email I sent them a few weeks ago asking why, yet again, I hadn't received coupons.

As it's now become a matter of principle, I intend to keep nagging them until I get an answer. I'd be very interested to know, if anyone else questions why they haven't received their coupons, what the Tesco response is to them

I wonder if it is about the amount spent with them?

Synonymous Wed 11-Nov-15 18:12:55

I haven't had any coupons this time and had no idea that it was a random issue.
I do use the points vouchers and usually double them up if I can or use them for the best available offer. I use the delivery saver as energy doesn't allow me to shop myself and all the staff are usually very good. My delivery saver just came up for renewal last month and I renewed it so perhaps that has made them complacent thus no coupons. I did renew the delivery saver on doubling my points so I suppose they have to retrench somewhere! confused
I shall ask them what is going on but at the end of the day I do have other options as there are other supermarkets who offer delivery services so I shall see how long it takes the coupons to reappear before I decide whose service to move to at renewal time. hmm
