I'm just off to do this week's shop at Sainsbury and hope to find this news reflected in the prices.

Am I unduly optimistic?

It’s good to hear that inflation is lower but Food Price inflation is around 4% still, judging by food costs in other countries which are much higher I don’t see that changing.
The one major cost that needs to fall is housing costs it’s much too high.

Farmers aren't receiving the increases in food costs, just saying.

That’s partly due to prices paid by supermarkets and partly because of the regulation and restrictions imposed by government.

Indeed.

Just an attempt at dissuading blaming farmers.
