For goodness sake, ignore her. What form have you signed if she’s only been phoning you, how have you managed to sign one? It’s a total scam.
You really must stop engaging with these people, they are trying to frighten you, threatening you with non-existent legal action, but they don’t have a leg to stand on. Ignore, ignore, ignore.

I'm really not, I put my mobile on block, but she kept phoning, I just wanted to get her out of the way for good, that's when she threatened legal action, I am genuinely naive about legal matters, and I'm certainly not laughing, I feel like crying, my hands were shaking when she put the phone down abruptly.

At the end of the conversation when I said I can't part with the money, and been told it's a scam (by the good folk here), she went 'okay', and slammed the phoned down, I really hope that is the end of it.

If she phones again do not say anything. Put the phone down. Delete the number. Repeat until she loses interest.
Of course you can't be arrested. The shares she wants you to sell do not exist.

From now on I will, it's the fear of legal action that has put the wind up me, but as you say, it's probably impossible to do so.

It's surprising the number of people who get taken in and believe their banks even the scam interceptors themselves etc are the scammers. The scammers are clever and ruthless.

She sent me forms by e-mail, I printed and scanned and returned, signed forms such as a non-disclosure agreement , commitment to sell, and pay the vendors deposit, I feel such a fool

My brother in law did something similar.
It was a scam call regarding 'supposed' selling of certain shares. He would make a fortune.
Foolishly he signed the form which was sent. We told him it was a scam, but he was totally reeled in by a woman who 'was his friend', and trying to help him.
He took a cheque to the bank to pay, but thankfully, the bank refused to deal with it.
He blocked the number, and never heard from them again.

Oh, Cillafan, sending those forms off will have provided them with further information about you. I hope you didn’t reveal any bank details on the form?

Please, though, whether you revealed bank details or not, get in touch with your bank and alert them to a potential scam attempt to your account. They will put a note on it.

If you downloaded a form they sent by email, they now have your email address, probably your home address too, if you added that on the form, and your signature, along with your phone number - quite a lot of info for a scammer.

Contact your bank ASAP.

I’m sorry for your loss, and these scammers really are despicable - they don’t care that you are grieving, but use your vulnerability to get at you.

I know you have already alerted your bank, but you have possibly given the scammers further details since then, so it’s important to contact your bank again - they won’t mind you doing so.
