Hi All. I'm originally from Surrey but now living in Malmö, Sweden. Got here via Kent, Ayrshire, North Yorkshire and Moray. Joan, I miss the Dales too. Of all my ports of call along the way, Yorkshire is the one in my heart.

& milliej..................its is a "motorbike" not big one a "black and chrome yamaha custom 125cc" ready to take my Part 1 motorcycle test this coming friday..(failed it once)... then if pass that take part 2 (when Ive saved up)! then fingers crossed I I pass and move on up to larger bike....I have a met up with another female when we both had scooters, unfortunatly I was knocked off my scooter and it wasnt reparable so hence thought I would try a bike this time..at times it is scary and we dont bounce like we used to, one of my daughters gets worried when I am out on it (she works on the broken bones ward)!!!! hmmm hope I never need her lol..) so my friend and I set off with flask to various places Blackpool/Lytham St Annes/Skipton etc etc ..we have an album that I put together at the end of each year of places we have been (we are becoming quite photogenic now) lol....lasshing down here in Lancashire today so wont be burning any rubber..lol.have fun [] Sue (alias "scary biker") lol

bikergran I love your name, I think its fantastic, my Aunt drove a scooter in the 70's when she was 50, she was an inspiration to me.

I'm from Wigan originally but lived in Scottish Borders for 34 yrs.
We live right out in the Berwickshire countryside with fabulous views across to the Cheviots. I love the peace and quiet and usually the only sound is birds chirping & tractors working somewhere in the fields....until our 2 Yorkies start barking !!!!!!
I would love to live somewhere with a sea view ...preferably on The Isle of Man (where my husbands family were from).

[]@ glassortwo..........yes my friend is I think 64 she passed her test when it was £1 lol..she rides bigger bike..and said she used to have a scooter with sidecar and took children out in it many moons ago...we are both hoping to go to Wales at some point maybe next year and we are going to ride round Anglesy and The great orme...so any bikergrans/ladies out there !!!!!!!!

We ladies have all moved around a fair bit haven't we! A generation ago and most of us would only have moved about 10 miles from where we grew up

Hi everyone... born in Buenos Aires, escaped as a family as lots of trouble there, I was 6 when we arrived here, lived in Kent for years, relocated to Cornwall, now at the seaside on the East Kent coast and love it...

Oh Suuze and grannies, I confess that I have only moved a mile from where I grew up - but I've lived in 4 different houses in the village (!), which is East of Norwich in Norfolk. No one has ever asked me to go anywhere else you see, and all my family is nearby so I'm quite happy really. And there are so many places to visit. Off to Edinburgh for the Fringe mid-August. Wonder if any other gransnetters will be there . . .
