Feeling very envious that Scottish Grannies have got themselves organised.
Are there any grannies within striking distance of a Midlands centre who would like to do the same? I am in Milton Keynes but trains to Brum are frequent and fast. Any takers?

It gets worse Marelli we all had purple feathers stuck to our name badges which left Maniac's feather boa short of a few!

Marelli Sat 06-Oct-12 21:18:31

It sounds like you've all had a really lovely day smile. I can picture you with your 'crimson' label, crimson.....at least it wasn't 'scarlet' - that might have given the wrong impression entirely! winkgrin

Am I the last to get home? Phew!
Thanks to Gracesmum for organising us all and Movedalot for locating a lovely hotel which WAS serving alcohol. (Tea Rooms hadn't been given their licence as we had expected!).
Remember I told you I was only ever propositioned by drunks, well 3 rowdy middle-aged inebriated footie fans got on my train. One offered to buy me a drink when the trolley came around. By the time we got to Bristol we were on first name terms and they were telling me jokes, I decided NOT to tell them any of Greatnan's specials.
YES, do lets do it again! xx

...I did realise as I was sitting on the train that I still had my name label on....I wonder what the other passengers thought I'd been up to..stood up on a blind date, perhaps blush...

Back home very comfy journey back!
My congratulations to the rail companies whose arranging of ramps and assistance was impeccable.
Once again it was soooo nice to see you all.

Next one after Xmas? Should we make it at the copthorne? At least we know they have wine if not white Sauvignon blanc? JessMs face was lovely!

Thanks to gracesmum for organising and all of you for the delightful company.
flowers to all.
