Elegran and I are working together on the December meet up where I have been investigating the potential for a theatre visit. Elegran will arrange a venue for a meal either before or after once she knows where and when. There are already a few people considering this who are on the previous link of Edinburgh meet ups. Any more interests will be warmly received. smile

Both dates fine for me

Elegran Wed 27-Aug-14 08:49:40

And me.

Elegran Wed 27-Aug-14 10:34:15

A tentative suggestion for eating afterwards is Vittoria's on George IV bridge, walking distance from the Festival Theatre (fingers crossed for good weather). Excellent Italian restaurant. ttp://www.vittoriagroup.co.uk/#vob

They also have a posher more expensive restaurant downstairs - Divino Enotica (no, not erotica, can't take you lot anywhere!) www.vittoriagroup.co.uk/#div

Any other suggestions?

baubles Glad to see you can make it.
The tickets for good seats in row C are going fairly fast @ £28.25. I have
e-mailed the ticket office to see if we can get concessions and/or something off for a group visit. If you are happy for me to book these seats please let me know. This is for Thursday 18th at 2pm. I'll try and get less expensive seats if possible.

Thanks Elizabeth1 for all the research, matinee a good choice for me and either date will suit.

Elegran Wed 27-Aug-14 20:17:33

Wow! It pays to have a good look before plumping for the first price you see.

Elizabeth1 Thu 28-Aug-14 19:30:32

Sure does Elegran the ticket mannie is going to email me the best concession prices. He has provisionally booked us in good seats (he says) with an extra 2 seats incase more GN's wants to join us. It's not row c either as they take the first few rows out for the orchestra and anyone who has been to a ballet doesn't want to sit too close to the stage cause you hear the thump thump of wood against wood. Thursday 18th at 2pm confirmed. Seat prices to follow.

Marelli Thu 28-Aug-14 19:37:04

This is going to be so good! Thank you Elizabeth1. As soon as you know the ticket prices I'll get the money to you? smile

baubles Thu 28-Aug-14 20:19:54

Great Elizabeth, well done. I'll look forward to it. smile

thatbags Thu 28-Aug-14 20:29:49

Thank you, Elizabeth1 smile

Elegran Thu 28-Aug-14 21:10:18

Thank you for fixing this, Elizabeth1 How do you want the money? (used fivers in a plain brown envelope left in a phone box on the A90?)

janeainsworth Thu 28-Aug-14 22:01:46

That's great Elizabeth1 thank you smile
I would prefer to pay by internet if you can pm me your account no. and sort code.

moomin Thu 28-Aug-14 22:41:50

Same here Elizabeth could you pm me your bank details and I'll transfer the cost of the ticket once you know.

thatbags Fri 29-Aug-14 12:16:25

Likewise if you're happy with that system.

Elizabeth1 Fri 29-Aug-14 13:21:32

Hello GN's

After a discussion with Richard the manager from the booking office it now appears that several rows are removed for the musicians including the £28.50 ones. The next best seats are further back at an increased price. confused He has taken the group discount off them.

I have now confirmed and paid for 8 seats holding 2 extra for any late comers. The tickets are £26.50 each. Hope this is suitable to everyone. I'll send details of my account in PM when I am able to work it out.

Elizabeth1 Fri 29-Aug-14 18:52:05

I now owe 2 people £2 cause the tickets are £26.50. Thank you thatbags for spotting the deliberate mistake. I'm on the wine now hic hic . wine
