When and I have put our heads together (metaphorically) and come up with the second week in November at the Coach House at the Trafford Centre which has suited us well in the past. Could you let us know if you're able to come and which day(s) would suit you best. As far as I know, I'm flexible.

hello from another north west member. Any arrangements for a lunch get together in the New Year. Would love to meet some or all of you.

whenim64 Mon 29-Dec-14 10:07:45

Yes, we'll arrange another one soon when everyone has got over Christmas and New Year. Do you have any suggestions? We've often met up at the Trafford Centre Coach House but somewhere different would be nice.

Anyone live in the Rochdale/Bury area for a Gransnet meet up?

MrsPickle Thu 15-Jan-15 23:57:46

We are having a little meet up in Blackpool on Thursday 12th February if anybody would like to join us.

whenim64 Sat 07-Feb-15 23:27:34

I would have loved to join you, seasider but already have arrangements made for Thursday. I hope it goes really well. Let us know who went along and maybe a photo? smile

Iam64 Sun 08-Feb-15 08:46:59

have a good meeting seasider, sorry I've already got something in for that day and afternoon smile

annodomini Sun 08-Feb-15 09:41:56

Would have loved to come, seasider, but have other commitments and, besides, my car is in a dodgy state at the moment!

hildajenniJ Sun 08-Feb-15 09:55:50

Although I live in the North East, I have to travel to any meet ups, either in the east or west. I would have loved to come to Blackpool but I've only just seen the thread. Plus I am going to visit DD and family for half term in Scotland and will be travelling on Saturday 14th. I'll try to come to the next one.

How about us all arranging an additional northwest meetup to yours, that is nearer to Blackpool, in a few weeks' time, seasider? With plenty of notice and some suggestions for preferred dates, hopefully more of us could make it. Maybe a pub/restaurant on the outskirts of Blackpool so it's easy to park and drive back to the motorways for those who have longer journeys back home. Time we returned the compliment as you and others have travelled far enough for our get-togethers in the last couple of years. smile

It's a plan! I may go early to see the sea

rubylady Mon 09-Feb-15 01:01:33

when I'd be on the train though so couldn't get to a remoter location. sad

Hi everybody .The Blackpool meet up came about as we realised we have a few new members on the Fylde Coast. Sorry it was short notice. I will try to think of somewhere over this way that is accessible by car and bus/train. If you want to be away from the centre of Blackpool there are some nice places in St Annes /Lytham both of which have railway stations and buses from Blackpool/Preston and only about 10 minutes from the M55

Iam64 Wed 11-Feb-15 08:54:27

St Annes/Lytham sounds a real treat seasider. Be good to see you again

annodomini Wed 11-Feb-15 09:39:59

Wish I could come, Seasider. I would love to be at the coast. Another time, please. I will research the trains because I am not keen on driving further than local destinations.

seasider Thu 12-Feb-15 22:53:18

We had a lovely little lunch today in Blackpool . We would like the next North West meet up to be over this way so Genie and Maeve can meet some other Gransnetters and hopefully Saffie can also attend as she could not make it today. If you can get to Preston Anno there are trains every hour to Lytham. There is a very nice Weatherspoons walking distance from the station and lots of other eateries. You could make a day of it ladies and visit the shops or take a walk on the green by the sea. How about arranging a date before Easter?Wednesday or Thursday are the best days for us

Iam64 Fri 13-Feb-15 18:54:57

Good to hear you enjoyed it seasider.

Annodomini, I'll be driving and could pick you up somewhere - I'll pm you
