Is it time to meet up again? Any views on where/when/what? Any interesting ideas?

Coming home from Inverary, Baubles and I passed a cinema in Glasgow which relays stuff videod from live theatre/opera/concerts - I forget the name of it. Or for live opera - Scottish Opera are putting on Carmen at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh in November www.scottishopera.org.uk/our-operas/15-16/carmen

Or just a lunch or coffee.

I'll be down first weekend in November for couple of nights. Coffee sometime??

Marmight Sun 11-Oct-15 12:51:28

I will be around from 4/10 November and then from the 16th. Lunch and a chat would be good......

thatbags Sun 11-Oct-15 16:22:17

Put me down for something (whatever), please, elegran. Nothing particular booked in November at the moment so I'll fit in round others.

Elegran Sun 11-Oct-15 17:00:55

From the replies so far, it looks as though it will be early on in November.

Marelli Sun 11-Oct-15 18:00:24

I'm ok for early November, too smile.

Elegran Sun 11-Oct-15 18:21:10

Katek Will you be at the same hotel?

janeainsworth Sun 11-Oct-15 18:27:46

I would love to join you but could only do 16th onwards sad

Elegran Sun 11-Oct-15 18:37:15

Katek Sun 11-Oct-15 18:45:35

Have been away and forgot to take my kindle so unable to post anything. Would it be okay to join in if available on date you choose?

Elegran Wed 14-Oct-15 21:41:44

Of course, dunit, Katek Is your first weekend in November the one with Sunday 1st in it or the one with Sunday 8th in it? I can't do the 1st, but I can the 7th or 8th

baubles Wed 14-Oct-15 22:02:28

Count me in too please Elegran. I'll be away for a few days at the end of November but weekends are usually free anyhoo.

The cinema was Cineworld. I've seen a few of the live streamings, the latest being the excellent 'La Nozze de Figaro' just last week.

Unless we gathered for a bite to eat beforehand it wouldn't be a very chatty evening.

I'm happy with lunch and a blether.

Katek Wed 14-Oct-15 22:52:24

It's 7th we'll be down.

Elegran Thu 15-Oct-15 09:12:47

That's good katek I can be there that weekend. It'll be great to see Baubles again too. So the weekend of 7th/8th november. Which day is best for everyone? The trains etc can be weird on a Sunday.

So I think that will be

Katek
Marmight
Thatbags
Marelli
Dunit
Baubles
Me

What about the Cineworld for December and eat before or after, like our ballet and meal? I wonder what is on, and how far in advance we would need to book.

Elegran Thu 15-Oct-15 09:18:28

All I can see on the website is fillums - no live transmissions.

Elegran Thu 15-Oct-15 09:30:55

Found it. There is the Bolshoi "La Dame aux Camellias" live from Moscow on 4th Dec and "The Mikado" on 27 Nov from the Colisseum, Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh in "The Winter's Tale" from the Garrick.

Jane10 Thu 15-Oct-15 16:38:49

Count me in too! I'd posted on the other Edinburgh thread.

Elegran Thu 15-Oct-15 16:44:38

Glad you can come, Jane10 That makes 8 of us.

Thatbags will be coming a long way, so coffee and a bun won't sustain her until her train gets her home. Should we consider lunch somewhere as well?

Elegran Thu 15-Oct-15 16:46:59

I'm getting confused confused with the other thread now. This thread is about lunch, not coffee. Isn't it? blush

Jane10 Thu 15-Oct-15 17:25:31

Royal Overseas League always does us proud........

Elegran Thu 15-Oct-15 18:01:29

So it does.

GeminiJen Sun 18-Oct-15 10:57:00

Put me down too please, Elegran.
I'm free on the weekend of Nov 7/8.
Would also love to see The Winter's Tale ...or indeed any of the others you mention if we can agree a date to suit.
Thanks too for doing this smile
