Where are we - here is a map.

Well, I must be very stupid too. I can't even find a red flag to click on nor can I find a list of emoticons to use [dim]

It is not a flag, it is a red blob, more or less teardrop shaped. beside it is a hand for moving the mao about.
After you have set your blob onto the map and labelled it, you are added to the list at the left. If you hover over your entry there, a paintpot symbol appears beside it, Selecting that brings up a whole lot of other icons to choose from.

OK, Marmight I have added a red blob where you live, which it has called "Point 8" Can you see it?

Marelli and anyone else who is stuck - I think the reason is that Google want you to have a password. If you get a free gmail email account, that password will let you into any google thingy. No need to use the email A/C or jettison your current one, just ignore it, or use it as a second string when you don't want your real one known.

There are twelve markers on it now. Several people got stuck, I think that is because of Google being unco-operative, not because you are all wallies.

I wonder why I only see 9 markers?

Are some almost on top of others and hiding them? If you zoom in you might see twelve.

Just checked again, and I see twelve.

How strange I've just reloaded and refreshed it twice but I still only see 9 even if I zoom right in ...

Tanoth you are looking at the old map, the one that I deleted. I have no idea why it is still around! But it does explain why I couldn't see coolgran's marker - it is on that one. So is nelliemoser.

I've just given up. It might be due to using an iPad, might not but I'm going round in circles with intuitive text thinking it knows what I want to write AND IT DOES NOT. I've got DH going round in similar circles.

I'll start again tomorrow with the lap top. Meanwhile I've resorted to gin and tonic.
