I live in NW London and work in central London so travelling isn't an issue for me.

Just a thought, last time I was in the V&A café it was packed. If we're talking mid summer.......

What I will do is find 2 dates and see how many people respond then find a venue accordingly given the time and date in respect of being able to book a table etc. Probably difficult to suit everyone but I would have thought not in school holidays as grandparents may be on caring duties and everywhere will be busy.

Teetime what I did was to ask everyone interested which dates they couldn't make, then cross all those off. Unfortunately I was then left with exactly none that were OK for everyone, so I had to put the dates where only one person would be disappointed into a hat (a pudding basin, actually) and pick one out.

Maybe somewhere where we could book a room for a larger number would be easier than a table in a cafe?

Pittcity I could be wrong but I doubt if we could book a room if we were not having eg lunch.

Tuesday? Can't do Tuesday's -ever-in fact most weekdays are a bit of a problem.
We had the first Birmingham one on a Saturday. Is that not a possibility? It would get found "granny duties" , after school childcare and other regular commitments as well as opening this up to working grans.
