Inspired by the Edinburgh meet up I thought I would suggest a London one say around mid summer- is anyone interested?

Alea Thu 04-Feb-16 17:02:55

I would be!

janeainsworth Thu 04-Feb-16 17:04:43

I'll probably be in America but if I'm not, I would be smile

NanaandGrampy Thu 04-Feb-16 17:06:14

Me too dependent on where it is. But maybe Ill be America like Janeainsworth so maybe we might meet there smile

Grannyknot Thu 04-Feb-16 17:13:06

I could probably do it if it wasn't on a Thursday or Friday ... smile

nanaandgrampy ... my first GN meetup was with mamie in Fuengirola in Spain! It was lovely.

NanaandGrampy Thu 04-Feb-16 17:15:43

Grannyknot I love that !! That's so random !! What a lovely thing the internet can be .

janeainsworth Thu 04-Feb-16 17:28:16

Ooh n&g whereabouts will you be? We will either be on the Great Lakes or in Virginia helping DS and DDiL when DGS3 arrives smile

ninathenana Thu 04-Feb-16 18:28:55

Any suggestions for a venue, what type of place are we thinking of ?
Perhaps not too central.

tanith Thu 04-Feb-16 20:20:40

I would be. Nina it needs to be central or some will have to travel further than others. It would help if everyone who's interested said which area of London they are in, I'm in Ealing.

NanaandGrampy Thu 04-Feb-16 21:25:54

Jeanainsworth we'll be in Florida for 3 weeks, then flying to Washington and coming down the length of the Smokey Mountains, then final 2 weeks in Florida .

That's as long as I can stay as my 6 suitcases will be filled by then :-))) but your trip sounds far more exciting with a new arrival!! That's lovely x

NanaandGrampy Thu 04-Feb-16 21:26:38

I'll come in from Essex into Fenchurch Station.

Pittcity Thu 04-Feb-16 21:27:32

I'd be up for travelling to London. Anywhere within walking distance of a station is good for me.
I am in Essex and am going to Edinburgh too.

Purpledaffodil Thu 04-Feb-16 21:31:46

I might be able to, depending on school run dutiessmile

Charleygirl Thu 04-Feb-16 21:35:04

I am also interested and I live in Harrow.

suzied Thu 04-Feb-16 22:17:38

I live in SE London could meet somewhere like the cafe at the V and A?

ninathenana Thu 04-Feb-16 22:27:51

I'm not in London, I'm in Kent. I would be arriving at Victoria but I'm easy grin

Penstemmon Thu 04-Feb-16 22:31:58

I would arrive at Waterloo but can travel onwards!

Greenfinch Thu 04-Feb-16 22:36:16

I would love to come. Ealing would be great for me.

Elrel Fri 05-Feb-16 01:11:39

I'm quite often in London. V&A cafe would be good.

Grannyknot Fri 05-Feb-16 07:07:35

I'm in SW London and travel in to Waterloo. District Line tube is also convenient for me and that of course stops at South Ken (for V&A) or Victoria.

nanagrampy it was completely random, we discovered that we were holidaying a short distance from each other in Spain at that time, and the Fuengirola meet up was arranged. sunshine smile

janeainsworth Fri 05-Feb-16 08:04:13

n&g the family live just outside DC so you never know! We will be there at the end of June all being well smile

Teetime Fri 05-Feb-16 09:04:10

I think its going to have to be very central and near the tube. Love the V & A but it is a bit out of the way from the tube. How about The National Gallery?

Charleygirl Fri 05-Feb-16 09:12:58

Why not somewhere like John Lewis in Oxford Street?

NanaandGrampy Fri 05-Feb-16 09:24:49

The National Gallery do a wonderful tea:-) and the view is lovely !

Or any of the nice hotels ? I know we probably don't want to spend a fortune but tea at The Berkley ( near Harrods) is epic !!

Grannyknot Fri 05-Feb-16 09:34:00

I don't mind! We're spoilt for choice ... grin
