Town will be heaving though and I generally avoid it if at all possible in tourist season. I warn you I'm a miserable cow and bound to arrive in a bad mood!!

Wondering whether to try and join you on the 16th elegran . I could get to Edinburgh by 11 if I catch an early train. Maybe I could pick Jane 10's brains about publishing, unless she's in a really bad mood, of course!

I might be able to hold down my fuming to manageable levels for long enough to speak oldgoat. It would be nice to see you again. Not sure any advice I might have would help though.

They told me that "11 o'clock is our quiet time, so you don't need to book" I shall try to get there first, but would anyone who is there before me please sit at one of the window tables with coat/bag etc spread over the other seats and keep a lookout for the rest?

I'll need to catch the train from Motherwell and escape my aged aunt in good time. Incidentally that means I won't have internet access from August 14th as she doesn't have WiFi ?

There's a train gets me into Waverky at 10.54 - so I'll be easy to recognise; red in face and sweaty and out of breath.

We'll keep a seat for you, Anya, don't bust a gasket. Are you familiar with Edinburgh? If not, come out of the station by the sloping road onto Waverley Bridge, cross over and enter the gardens by the gate on the corner of Princes Street. Then you can walk at a nice peaceful rate through grass and trees until your way is blocked by a damn great wall. The cafe is at the foot of that wall. There will be several faces peering out hoping to spot someone red and sweaty and breathless. That is unless we can't get a window seat.

My train gets in at 10.20 elegran so I'll have time to amble along to the café and try to reserve a window seat. How many of us are coming now?
