I'm not sure if there are any GNetters who live in or near Bath? Would anyone be interested in meeting for a coffee somewhere either in Bath or around the area?
I live in a village to the northeast of the city.

Hi loopylou, I live between Bath and Bristol and would be interested in meeting up.

Marmight Sat 13-Jan-18 20:45:46

I've just moved to a village south of Cirencester (although I'm in Oz at present). Bath is on my list of to do's once I'm home so I'd be up for a GN meet up in the future........

Great! Will have a think about a nice venue and see if we can fix a day!

Marmight Mon 15-Jan-18 22:33:53

Loopy I'm not back until early Feb so if you are prepared to wait, towards the end of the month would be ideal. Jetlag and half term to get over first!

Are you still up for a meeting Loopy & Sparkle. Since returning home I've been laid somewhat low with 'flu! May would be good. Better weather hopefully.....?

loopylou Fri 06-Apr-18 11:22:51

Hi Marmite and Sparkle!
Yes, I'm definitely still up for a coffee in Bath, when in May would suit you both? I'm pretty easy apart from Wednesday's and the last few days when I'm away.
I will look for a nice venue and get back to you next week?

OurKid1 Fri 06-Apr-18 17:06:22

I'm South of Bath and would be interested. I tend to gravitate towards Bath anyway. Like loopylou Wednesdays are usually committed. Other than that pretty any day is ok. I'm also away the last few days of May i.e. half-term week. (Loopy - just realised you are too ... ) Hmmmm ... wonder if we move in the same circles ...

Like the idea of a meet up in Bath. No fixed abode at present, but will be settled in Somerset soon. Perhaps a meet up for lunch in July as well?

Marmight Fri 06-Apr-18 21:06:03

Ooh ffinnochio that would be great. It's been some time since we met in Edinburgh.
First week in May or week starting 21st is good for me loopy

Sparklefizz Sat 07-Apr-18 08:40:37

Hi Everyone, yes I'm still interested in meeting up but I can't do Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Sorry to hear about the 'flu, Marmight. Hope you are beginning to feel better.

How about Thursday 24th May? I was wondering about the downstairs cafe at Jolly's (House of Fraser) in Milsom Street. It's opposite the Lansdown Park and Ride bus stop.
I'm happy for other suggestions!
Very much looking forward to it!

loopylou Fri 13-Apr-18 10:09:32

Lunch in July sounds good ffinnochio!

OurKid1 Sat 14-Apr-18 19:55:59

loopylou That sounds perfect to me. Are you thinking morning coffee?

loopylou Sat 14-Apr-18 20:50:27

Yes, does 10.30 or 11.00 sound ok?

Marmight Sun 15-Apr-18 17:39:33

11 would be good for me. Time to get lost which I'm bound to do grin.

Marmight Wed 18-Apr-18 09:47:58

I will have to cry off.. just had a cryptic request from a daughter to please keep 24 May free. So sorry. It's probably to do with my birthday. I'd still love to meet on another day
........!

OurKid1 Mon 23-Apr-18 16:11:48

I will be there! I had lunch in Jolly's downstairs on Saturday and very nice it was too. They've renovated it since I was last there and it's lovely.

OurKid1 Mon 30-Apr-18 08:30:35

Oh no!! I've just realised that I've double booked myself for that day. I have a meeting for the group I volunteer with that morning at the RUH, so I won't be able to be at Jollys - actually I'd rather do Jollys, but you know how it is ... this volunteering lark carries pressures (albeit self-inflicted) which I hadn't expected.

I'll be up for any future Bath-based get-togethers though.

For what it's worth I would have had a mocha and possibly a cake, so if someone would like to partake on my behalf, I will have no objections! cafe cupcake

Looking like just Sparklefizz and I!

loopylou Fri 04-May-18 13:15:57

Oh lordie.....please can we rearrange completely?
I'm going to have to go and look after DGSs because DDIL job sending her to USA.
I'm really, really sorry.
Please can we rearrange, perhaps a lunch?
Many apologies. I'm very disappointed to postpone it.
Thank you x

I dont feel so bad now ?. I'm free after the weekend of 16 June. Perhaps we could fix a date for the week beg monday 18th?

loopylou Tue 08-May-18 09:34:14

Definitely Marmight!
I'm not around the week of June 18 but hopefully the week of the 25th will suit?
I can't do the Monday but any other day fine.
Fingers crossed!

Sparklefizz Wed 09-May-18 08:02:55

I regularly can't do Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and actually I'd rather not meet for lunch because I have multiple food problems and find it difficult to eat out, so coffee would suit me better (well, tea for me as it happens!) If that causes a problem, then I will opt out.

loopylou Wed 09-May-18 12:51:18

No problem Sparklefizz! Coffee's fine for me too, let's hope that we can all agree a day/date ?
Any day 24th onwards is fine with me, how about Thursday 26th, or Friday 27th? Same venue, same time?
