So sorry I couldn't be there after all but, after a sleepless night, I might have fallen asleep on the train and been carried off to St Pancras or, more likely, zonked out face down in the cheesecake. With luck, this horrible, debilitating weather will be long over by the time of the next meeting and I aim to be there! Glad it was a good day, anyway.?
Hi ladies! I am moving to Castle Donington, Derbyshire, and wondered if any Gransnetters would like to meet up? Or I would be willing to join in with anything organised in the future.
Lovely photo and pleasing to know you shared a good meet up , even for those who were not there it is pleasing to see others enjoying good friendship .
The spirit of Gransnet and the people who make it work so well on display!
Just to say we returned from our trip to MH on Friday. What a pleasant town with such friendly people. We had a great time and enjoyed our meals (Ascoffs) and ice creams near the library and cakes everywhere, g and t’s in The Angel as well as visiting the marina to enjoy the narrow boats plus trip out to foxton lock. What’s more the sun shone every day. Ps the g and t’s came after the lock visit.
How about Melton Mowbray - it has a mainline station and a reasonable hotel with well priced home made food within spitting distance (sorry not a nice image but very close). Car park close as well.
