Where were you thinking of having it, Katey?

Today we met at a Garden Centre in Cawthorne, a lovely little village near Barnsley, but we will be open to suggestions, where are you?

I'm over in West Yorkshire (Calderdale). Also not free most days, so I wouldn't want the venue to be influenced by me! I'll keep an eye on the thread, though, and see what you end up with, and if I can make it.

Cawthorne is lovely. Havnt been there in years.

Is that the garden centre at Cannon Hall, Katey?

Lovely to hear from some of the Yorkshire GN’s, we will look to arrange something in February and both Daisy and myself are happy to travel so it could be a moveable feast, so in the meantime watch this space and any suggestions would be great x

Yes, Greyduster, it was Cannon Hall Garden Centre which is just opposite Cannon Hall in Cawthorne, hope you might join us for the next meetup x

I’ll keep an eye on the thread - and the weather. We are about half an hour down the road.

Straightforward trip for me via A61/M1. Will keep watching the thread for more news.

How exciting that's 2 people near me! I'm from Calderdale and this is the first I've heard of anyone on GN in my area. I will watch this thread with interest but I don't drive so it may all be in vain!

Hi everyone of you Yorkshire peeps ?, any dates/times suit you for a meet up in February? (Tuesday or Thursday good for me), Cannon Hall Garden Centre was lovely but noisy, so ideas for where to meet will be useful as well. I might pm you all in case you dont look on the thread again x

I’d be interested in meeting. Currently near M1 junction 31 (South Yorks)
Difficult to think of a good central meeting point, I drive so no problem for me but I appreciate that not everyone does. Would the Yorkshire Sculpture Park near Wakefield be of any use? Although I’m not sure if there’s public transport. There is a nice cafe/restaurant, interesting exhibitions and entry is free although parking charges are high. Just a thought ?
I’m pretty flexible re. dates and times. Look forward to hearing more!

Hello Graso, welcome to our little Yorkshire group! The Sculpture Park is a really good suggestion, parking is expensive there (well was last time I went, will check). We will set a date and time soon, watch this space lol.

The groups' based in Tod as far as I remember.

Hi you Yorkshire GN’s. We are planning Tuesday 26th February for our 2nd Meetup. We suggest Cannon Hall Garden Centre again at 11.30 am (Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a great suggestion but quite expensive for parking, so we can keep that for another time when we can car share to park).
