I really enjoyed our meet ups before Covid. At present I’m not getting out enough. Sadly John Lewis is no longer in Brum, gone, scones and all.
Please post if you are interested in a coffee or lunch meet up. I would love to meet old friends and make new ones. Nonnie, Tegan, Blinko, Hellobaby, I hope we’ll meet again - soon.

Sorry I can’t make it on 24th, we’re away that week. I’ll look out for next time. Have a great get together, everyone.

Elrel

How about Wednesday 17th April

How about Wednesday 17th Aprtil, 11am at h exchange B-road Street, opposite the Repertory Theatre and Library of Birmingham. The Metro towards Edgbaston Village stops literally outside the entrance.

That's the same day as the Glesca Grannies! A good omen for a succesful meet up.

CHANGE OF DATE
It seems that WEDNESDAY 24TH APRIL is a better date.
I will be at THE EXCHANGE opposite the Library and Repertory Theatre on Broad Street at 11am. The Metro (for Edgbaston Village) stops right by the entrance,
I am still a white haired little old lady with a 3 wheel Rollator probably wearing a blue mac with pink flowers depending on the weather. Looking forward to meeting those who can manage the date.

I'm really sorry that I can't come. I'm playing in a Macmillan charity golf competition in that day. I now worried about missing the golf as such but in committed now and it's an important fund raiser. I hope you have a lovely meeting and the sun shines on you.

Really really sorry that I cannot make the 24th now! An appointment has cropped up. Was really looking forward to it. Hope to make the next one.

Hellobaby1 Mon 15-Apr-24 08:19:01

Good morning all, I now have a telephone appointment on 24th at 10:45am. It shouldn’t take long and if that is the case I will still try to pop along and see everyone🤞🏻

Looking forward to meeting those when can make it on 24th April. If anyone just wants to turn up without warning that is fine, all welcome.

Elrel Mon 22-Apr-24 19:28:55

Anyone else who is able to come will of course be welcome. Looking forward to seeing everyone at 11 at The Exchange, Broad Street, opposite the library and Repertory Theatre and very close to a Metro stop (towards Edgbaston Village).

Elrel Wed 24-Apr-24 10:31:28

On my way but will be late. No trains and bus held up at Cotteridge - hope to see you by 11:15

V3ra Wed 24-Apr-24 10:58:08

Here now, anyone else here yet?
The first two ladies I accosted aren't Gransnetters !

Elrel Wed 24-Apr-24 17:48:36

We did meet up after all, four of us. We talked about care of animals from cats and dogs to ducks and chickens, countries from Dubai to New Zealand, the genetics of eye colour, Covid booster jabs, tv, books, book clubs, health and safety and, of course, grandchildren may have been mentioned. A really enjoyable couple of hours in comfortable surroundings with good company. We hope to meet again in June on a date to be decided nearer the time.
PS I discovered today that Birmingham has a street cat, named Shade, very glossy and well fed in appearance but keeping her eye on local pigeons!

NannyJan53 Wed 24-Apr-24 18:00:23

Pleased you all had an enjoyable chatty time!

Gymstagran Wed 24-Apr-24 20:11:41

V3ra Wed 24-Apr-24 20:51:04

So glad I braved New Street station and went, next time will be a breeze 😉

monk08 Wed 24-Apr-24 20:51:10

Elrel Wed 24-Apr-24 21:15:18

monk08 You and anyone else who is able to join us will of course be most welcome next time.
V3ra Next time I’ll perhaps show you how I have got over my initial suspicion of the Metro!
