I really enjoyed our meet ups before Covid. At present I’m not getting out enough. Sadly John Lewis is no longer in Brum, gone, scones and all.
Please post if you are interested in a coffee or lunch meet up. I would love to meet old friends and make new ones. Nonnie, Tegan, Blinko, Hellobaby, I hope we’ll meet again - soon.

Great meet up today, we didn't realise how much time had gone by. Lovely to see everyone

V3ra Wed 26-Jun-24 17:20:19

Yes I really enjoyed it!
We covered a lot of topics 😁

So good to meet up again and have a chat! Afterwards I intended to go to M&S but was distracted when passing TKMAXX. I hadn’t been in for 4 years, even more packed and chaotic than I remembered and the rails seemed much higher but I still found the kind of warm weather dress I was looking for. Hoping for plenty of opportunities to wear it now!!

Good to see you all again yesterday. Enjoy wearing your new dress Elrel.

Sorry I couldn't make it. Hope to make the next one perhaps early August or early September?

V3ra Thu 27-Jun-24 12:09:40

Any day from the 5th September onwards suits me at the moment.

School holidays are busy with childminding the school children 😬
I shall be ready for a day out once they go back! 😂

Elrel I think you need to wear your new dress 👗

Elrel Sun 30-Jun-24 23:36:51

Early September it is then, precise day to be decided by the end of August. As it didn’t seem warm enough to wear a dress yesterday I went to a writers’ conference in a warm but slightly scruffy hoodie. Interesting talks about publishing, self publishing, Ebooks, AI, and running writing workshops. Maybe the dress can be worn at bookclub tomorrow!

Early September suits me too

NannyJan53 Mon 01-Jul-24 11:10:46

Early September is good for me too. We go away on 17th.

NannyJan53 Mon 19-Aug-24 11:48:17

Bit of an update....I am now away from 2nd Sept until the 8th (last minute decision to go away in our caravan) Then 17th September until 27th. So depending on date you arrange, I probably will miss this. Unless it is early October?

Elrel Wed 28-Aug-24 12:09:32

Wednesday 4th September at The Exchange Broad Street, 11 o’clock. Does that sound all right? All welcome.
We’ll miss you, NannyJan!

V3ra Wed 28-Aug-24 16:05:56

Can't do the 4th as I have an appointment with the dentist ☹️
Can do any day from the 5th onwards.

Elrel Wed 28-Aug-24 17:43:30

Thursday 5th is a possible alternative if it suits more people

Blinko Thu 29-Aug-24 08:31:00

Hi Everyone, for some reason I've missed all this convo about the next meet up. Oh fiddlesticks! I can't make either 4th or 5th September. Next time, maybe.

Elrel Thu 29-Aug-24 19:02:14

It may be better to leave it for now, early October perhaps better.

NannyJan53 Fri 30-Aug-24 16:35:04

Early October would be ok for me except Thursday 3rd as have Dental Appointment.

NannyJan53 Mon 09-Sept-24 13:39:41

What about Tuesday 8th or Wednesday 9th October?

Gymstagran Mon 09-Sept-24 14:17:37

Sorry, everyone, I seemed to have missed the earlier conversation too. I can do either the 8th or the 9th October

Gymstagran Tue 10-Sept-24 09:34:00

Bump, trying to keep the thread alive so others can join in.

monk08 Tue 10-Sept-24 09:37:14

I can do the 9th.

Gymstagran Tue 10-Sept-24 13:48:08

Hi Blinko ,and all, hope you have seen the thread. Erel It keeps disappearing from active thread. Anyone else like to join us in Birmingham for a meet up, early October. ?

NannyJan53 Tue 10-Sept-24 14:19:27

9th will be ok for me too!

V3ra Tue 10-Sept-24 14:51:29

Wednesday 9th is good for me too.

Gymstagran Wed 11-Sept-24 06:28:31

It looks like the 9th is favorite

NannyJan53 Sat 14-Sept-24 11:48:27

So, shall we say Wednesday 9th October, at the usual place? The Exchange, Broad Street, and 11.00am?
