Granny bloomers

I remember thinking I would never stop wearing skimpy sexy knickers, but now I'm wearing the modern equivalent of Granny Bloomers (more like cycling shorts) under a skirt to stop the dreaded hot flushes that cause the full body sweat that in turns causes the top of my inner thighs to stick and rub as I walk - damned painful. Every time I put them on I think of Granny's old bloomers hanging on the washing line and empathise with her grin. Any of you lovely ladies in the same situation?

When I was young, no one seemed too troubled if they were visible.
Mother used to paddle at the seaside with her skirt tucked into the elastic on the legs.
Our church organist used to cycle through town holding her skirt on the handlebars to prevent it getting caught in the wheel, displaying hers. M i L always seemed to display her
DKs when she sat down. She wore them until the day she died. Maybe F i L found them a turn on.
At least they prevented draught around the stocking tops and suspenders!

Actually they were called Bloomers after being invented by a lady, so that they were described as Mrs Bloomer's Improved Cycling Wear.

She probably wore them because they are EXTREMELY comfortable.
