I'm struggling with very hot forehead and sometimes hot all over my face and ears and down to my neck. It feels like a constant flush. I'm 57, five years into my menopause, and avoided HRT, and would prefer to carry on without it.

Are there any soothing/cooling gels anybody might know of? Wipes just offer very temporary relief. I sleep okay these days, night sweats didn't bother me a lot, so I was fortunate in that context, but all my active days are thronged with burning heat!

For a short fix, Magicool, an aerosol spray, can help. But the members up there ^^ have given good advice.

I have always found a cold drink immensely helpful if you have one handy. It’s only a short term fix, but wonderful if you’re desperate!
I took to carrying a small thermos or travel mug around with ice cubes and water.
Try it - it’s amazing!

Red clover is another homeopathic remedy that has stopped my hot flushes

Oddly, I read that there is a helpful chemical in the pith & peel of oranges - truly!! So I made a point of eating a small scrap of the peel of my daily easy peeler, and being less fussy with taking off the pith. I do think it helped.

Forget the supplements, herbs, creams and stuff - and try HRT - as Stella above says - it's the only thing that really works and why suffer? You are still young and the benefits of HRT outweigh the risks at your age if you are otherwise healthy and look after yourself.
