What this country needs, and why the Tory's wont deliver.

Britain needs council housing, jobs, a good minimum wage, and a decent old age pension.

The Tory's wont deliver because they dont care about ordinary people.

I remember very well. How could I forget the same old clap trap. Has he ever read our strictures on the dreaded Gove, for example? Has he (Ivanhoe) any idea of the devastation being wrought on our education system? Does he care? Is his a one-track manifesto? We've had thread after thread on health care and provision for care in old age. Hasn't he noticed? And doesn't he realise that many posts here are by people who have considerable expertise whether in education, health or social welfare? I repeat, does he care?

rosequartz Mon 19-May-14 21:46:14

Ana, perhaps Gordon Brown 'stole' his pension and he needs another job now?

Totnes has a Conservative MP I believe, but one who had done a 'real job' (GP) and is not afraid to speak her mind and not just toe the party line. Whether you agree with her politics or not she seems like the sort of politician we need more of - of all political persuasions.

Galen Mon 19-May-14 21:57:31

Perhaps he wants to go back to the days of old labour when Stafford Cripps was chancellor of the exchequer and kept rationing in place to maintain austerity for the good of the country?
Wasn't he labour?

POGS Mon 19-May-14 22:06:45

Ana

Yes I do remember Ivanhoe hence I suggested a [hits frying pan over head] emoticon. grin

Rose quartz

Yes the MP for Totnes is Dr. Sarah Wollaston and I can't wait to watch on election night to see Ivanhoe on stage when the results are announced. I won't forget to look.

I agree Gordon Brown must have stolen his pension.

I am really annoyed that he has been 'outed' and I hope Ivanhoe if you post again you show respect to GN posters who feel duped by your actions. angry. Try to debate with us and not just espouse your party political broadcast to an unsuspecting audience.

Ana Mon 19-May-14 22:08:50

Why are you annoyed that Ivanhoe's been 'outed', POGS? confused

Elegran Mon 19-May-14 22:21:31

Roll on an end to election night and all this banging heads on brick walls. There's none so deaf as those who listen to nothing but their own voices.

Galen Mon 19-May-14 22:27:43

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

rosequartz Mon 19-May-14 22:41:53

He's very handsome, Galen, he should be a film star!

Ana Mon 19-May-14 22:44:08

grin Doesn't look 66 does he?

POGS Mon 19-May-14 22:46:28

Ana

You are right to ask.

I was posting in haste and it does look as though I was annoyed he had been outed. I most certainly am not. I am so glad it has happened.

annodomini Mon 19-May-14 22:47:23

Why are we wasting what's left of our lives on a poster whose opinions won't change no matter what we say when we could be watching Nigel Farage on Newsnight? grin

rosequartz Mon 19-May-14 22:54:11

Well perhaps because Ivanhoe claims that he believes in treating his elders with respect, which is nice.
Although hold on a minute, I am older than him and he was rude to me confused
We seem to be talking about him, not to him as he seems to have disappeared, which could be construed as rude.

Galen Mon 19-May-14 22:56:54

Could be that GNHQ have acted and banned him.

Galen Mon 19-May-14 22:58:18

I thought I'd put up the wrong link. But it was his FB page. He's not handsome , he's a bearded old bloke!

rosequartz Mon 19-May-14 22:59:01

Do the threads get deleted in that case?

rosequartz Mon 19-May-14 23:03:43

Wrong picture, I was thinking he was the one with the girl. Silly me! Was that Robert Taylor?

POGS Mon 19-May-14 23:09:23

Rose

I certainly hope not. I would be very annoyed.

Anne58 Mon 19-May-14 23:15:24

So, ivanhoe tell us a bit about yourself, or is your political stance all that there is to you?

Do you have any craft based hobbies, for example knitting, sewing or crotchet (I don't do any of those myself) or perhaps gardening? How many grandchildren do you have? Any household tips or product recommendations that you can share with us?

Or do you just post on "political" themes where you seem to have some sort of hidden agenda/party political leanings that you seem to want to hint at, rather than declare?

Come on now, admit it, you are an undercover candidate for the "Re-instate Frank" party!

whenim64 Mon 19-May-14 23:27:53

This is the link Galen wanted to post. Scroll down for his bit, (Michael Thompson - old labour/Independent) 5th para refers to him standing as candidate in next general election.

Well I wouldn't dare write a reply as he requested.

I don't think prison would suit my delicate nature.

I wonder how long before his true self started to show and others felt duped or conned.

POGS Mon 19-May-14 23:49:25

Can I ask those who have created links, how on earth did you find this out.

Well done but I am intrigued how you even got a sniff about his sites.

whenim64 Mon 19-May-14 23:53:59

Just followed an original link to a petition that Ivanhoe put on previously, POGS, then Googled from what info came up via the trail of articles, blogs and his own links.

POGS Mon 19-May-14 23:56:42

Well I still think you are all very smart.

Galen Tue 20-May-14 00:05:52

I think there are a few Miss Marple types on GN[grin

POGS Tue 20-May-14 00:10:05

And a few 'lost their marbles' tonight Galen.
