I wonder if her upbringing has affected her mental health and her adoption of a new persona is part of it. I see she was blonde as a child but maybe her hair etc darkened as she got older. DD2's hair was white blonde when she was little but is now dark brown.

How curious it all is. Seems to me that it is basically wrong of her to have lied about her colour but she seems to have a greater understanding of a lot of social issues than people that really are 'people of colour'. She probably grew up wanting to be the same colour as her siblings who were [I'm guessing here] chosen for their colour so feels inside that she is black. Her parents soud well weird.
