While not aligning myself with the Gransnet Socialist Cooperative I do have some sympathy for JC. Until the last few weeks he has probably entertained no hope or expectation of promotion within the Parliamentary Labour Party; indeed his record of ignoring the whips had virtually guaranteed that he would always be a backbencher.

In such a position who among us, similarly without ambition, would not have said deliberately provocative things, secure in the knowledge that they would never be used against us because of our unimportance?

But now he has had greatness thrust upon him he must not be surprised if his actions and words come back to haunt him. It comes with the pay.

The strange thing is that although people say Corbyn will take us back to the 80s, he actually won by the use of modern technology. That's how most people voted, and that's how he got most of his supporters.

Your are right Jen and *Annie. The "old" media are getting very cross because he is not spinning to them but I think, at the moment, he is better building up the party. Most people don't care about politics (so they tell me) until just before an election. He will need to be seen and he will need to talk to the none media savy public but I think he has a little time yet.

Expect more emails and more on FB - that's my limit. I wonder what else they will use. I am now quite interested to see what questions come up a PMQs too because we know he has asked for feedback.

Supporters of the Labour Party may find this of interest. Ann Clwyd MP gave an interview to BBC Wales, she was honest, said she had not supported Corbyn but Cooper. She went to listen to Corbyn when he came to Cardiff and was very impressed by what he said, this caused her to change her voting intention and she voted for Corbyn

Well done her for honesty. Let's hope the more people hear the more this happens.
