Bugger it that's the next election lost.

Important at this stage to outline how he wants to proceed in PMQs, next he will undoubtedly choose an issue which loads of us are writing to him about and then can follow up with nailing down questions.

No good thinking that DC has left his flashman persona behind rose it is part of his character. As JCs character is it is agreed by everyone including the Tories, a charming and nice man.

Flipping heck, he's only been in the job three days. Give him a chance.

whitewave Wed 16-Sept-15 14:22:16

He will have some breathing space now for a few weeks, and time to start forming policies, how he will deal with the right wing media, formulate how the party will react to upcoming stuff etc.

We haven't seen it yet - just wondering who on earth Gail, Steve and Debbie are?

Takes after his DM then.

People like me rose We are being invited to let our party know what we are most concerned about, and the issue with the most questions got asked- it is called peoples democracy.

rosequartz Wed 16-Sept-15 14:28:29

Flippin'

rosesarered Wed 16-Sept-15 14:28:51

All people with their own issues and axes to grind presumably.

rosesarered Wed 16-Sept-15 14:29:22

We can't reduce PMQ's to a phone in radio show.

rosequartz Wed 16-Sept-15 14:29:43

?? I meant to put those little eyebrows in next to what I copied from your post whitewave, they didn't come out at all after flippin' - not saying flippin' to you!
confused

rosequartz Wed 16-Sept-15 14:31:02

Ah, got it now.

But isn't that what constituency surgeries are for?
As well as emailing your MP (ours always respond promptly and fully I must say)

rosequartz Wed 16-Sept-15 14:31:49

responds

Goodness, I had better log off, fingers are not responding to brain.

rosesarered Wed 16-Sept-15 14:33:48

Me too RQ, sometimes real life gets in the way of Gransnet! grin

rosequartz Wed 16-Sept-15 14:35:31

'Real life' is crashing around emptying toy boxes, singing away and talking to herself grin
As long as she's happy .....

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 16-Sept-15 14:36:19

I normally type flippin' - flippin' spell check! grin

His questions re the wearing of the poppy was asked of him by his own Labour MP'S at his first meeting with them. Not the right wing press for heavens sake. The MEDIA in general picked up on the story.

As for singing the Anthem you can continue to blame the right wing press but it is a pointless exercise when Labour MP's have commentated negatively also.

Instead of always apportioning blame to the right wing press there has to be a rationalisation at some point they and the media in general are reporting factual occurrences and except that will continue to happen.

.

whitewave Wed 16-Sept-15 14:47:53

pogswe have debated the right wing press ad nauseum. I didn't intend it to be a debating point -sorry about confusing the issue. I merely mentioned it as a point of fact.

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 16-Sept-15 14:47:59

I agree there's a tendency to put it all down to the right wing press when his own MPs have questions and opinions. However, it's going to be the right wing press reporting in a negative manner.

Jeremy Corbyn's success is due to the fact that we are all fed up with the same bland politicians spouting platitudes. This ws reflected in the voting and already he has shown himself unafraid to show his real attitudes and intentions. Bravo Jeremy!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 16-Sept-15 16:19:44

I liked Cameron's answer to the housing question. ie, we need to protect the economy. The country going into recession won't help anybody.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 16-Sept-15 16:22:34

Bravo Jeremy indeed, if he can throw up affordable housing left, right and centre, just like that, and still keep the country in the black. hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 16-Sept-15 16:23:24

Super annoying? Magic money tree?

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 16-Sept-15 16:24:49

I did NOT type super annoying. I typed Superman? iPad's got a mind of it's own. A good one obviously.

whitewave Wed 16-Sept-15 16:42:21

Of course jingthere is a large and utterly respected theory that was tested and proven to be spot on after WwII called Keynsianism. Po!itical parties of all colours signed up to it with great enthusiasm and it was responsible for the rapid growth in the economy in the 50s and 60 s. This involved amongst others things investment in our housing stock to .great benefit for both our economy and the homeless and poor. Austerity will and is struggling to achieve such sustained growth.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 16-Sept-15 16:44:05

Yeah. I remember the prefabs.
