The undecideds could swing the referendum.

Give it a bloody rest durhamjen and stop heckling. people. You're just like an attack athletes foot.

granjura Thu 23-Jun-16 19:17:53

'Sick of the EU and small minded insular view.'

agreed, the above really makes the mind boggle. Insular means isolated- as an island- the opposite of open. So ???

granjura Thu 23-Jun-16 19:19:00

Agreed that it's not fair to ask kitty, or anyone. A secret ballot just has to remain secret - unless someone volunteers to share.

kiligran Thu 23-Jun-16 19:40:07

I have voted to remain

WilmaKnickersfit Thu 23-Jun-16 19:40:47

hopeful1 you're welcome. smile

I don,t understand those who won,t vote Brexit because they dislike Farage,or Remain as they don,t trust Cameron.
These are fleeting politicians with a short life span.
Voting Brexit or Remain is for life, and nothing to do with individual personalities.

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 20:38:30

harrigan - you never did provide the evidence to back up your ludicrous statement about the number of EU employees who are paid more than David Cameron. Far too many meaningless slogans and lies have been peddled by the leavers and sadly there are a lot of people willing to believe nonsense without checking the facts.
varian I think the facts (which are not ludicrous) are quite easy to check if you are able to google at all.

rosesarered Thu 23-Jun-16 20:38:44

Well said Granny2016 that's what I think.

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 20:47:20

Have you any idea how patronising your comments make you seem? Or did you just want us all to know you can afford cleanerS.
that is not nice Casawan and totally uncalled for - you do not know the reason that annsixty may have a cleaner. It does not necessarily mean she is wealthy.

If the vote is remain I will seriously consider taking myself and my money to Australia or New Zealand.
grin harrigran Australian DD said if she were me she would vote 'Remain'
If the vote is for 'out' I hope she will have a spare room for us both

Granny2016 Thu 23-Jun-16 20:53:00

Durhamgen.......remain being about love !!!
Where on earth have you plucked that one from ??

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 20:55:36

love - love?
what have I missed?

durhamjen Thu 23-Jun-16 21:10:16

I did expect kitty to tell me that she would keep it secret.
Didn't expect to be called an attack of athlete's foot.
Rather nasty, I assume, never having had athlete's foot in my life, Anya.

Those who do not know about remain being about love have obviously not been interested in anything to do with Jo Cox.
I really do not know how you have missed it, but that's your problem.

harrigran Thu 23-Jun-16 21:17:12

I have to admit that before I saw the news article about Jo Cox I had never heard of her. I asked my friend who has voted labour all her life and she hadn't heard of her either.

merlotgran Thu 23-Jun-16 21:20:02

I was about to send a similar post, harrigran but have somehow managed to delete it.

I'd never heard of her either. I was terribly upset when I heard of her murder and moved by all the tributes but using her death to declare Remain is about love is just plain daft.

durhamjen Thu 23-Jun-16 21:20:03

I had, but I'm a member of Hopenothate. Also, she had gone to Calais with Yvette Cooper and had arranged for two lads to be brought over here to join their families.
Maybe you are just not interested in the same things she was and I am.

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 21:21:25

Durhamgen.......remain being about love !!!
Where on earth have you plucked that one from??

I read that post durhamjen

Those who do not know about remain being about love have obviously not been interested in anything to do with Jo Cox

that post makes me feel quite queasy, making out that anyone who votes 'out' has not been horrified by what happened to her and that is has somehow by-passed them.
sad

I hadn't noticed much love being expressed at all on either side in this referendum debate to be frank, that is until the expressions of grief about Jo Cox and all she stood for, from most of the nation, apart from a very few hate-filled morons.

Anya Thu 23-Jun-16 21:24:51

I believe it's very irritating condition and gets under your skin * DJ* .... caused by a fungus that spreads in damp and dark conditions where very little fresh air and light get in.

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 21:24:51

Yes, I had heard of her before, but I do not think that using her death to promote the idea that Remain means Love is not right.

If people want to give to her charities in her name and with love, that is a different thing.
I have given to another Syrian charity which I support and said it was in remembrance of Jo Cox.

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 21:25:38

Double negative in my post, but I hope you know what I meant.
I think that ...etc

durhamjen Thu 23-Jun-16 21:26:13

Let’s all play our parts today to help love win out over fear and hatred and keep Britain in Europe, for Jo’s children and all our children.

From an Avaaz email today.
I do not care who feels queasy about it. Jo Cox has been all about love and hope.

Anya Thu 23-Jun-16 21:26:26

Jalima you're flogging a dead horse - those who cannot understand another's point of view are never going to listen to reason. It's beyond their ken.

Anya Thu 23-Jun-16 21:27:35

Ah yes, that's good coming from one who spreads love throughout the threads on GN!!!

Anya Thu 23-Jun-16 21:28:24

I'm off, I can't stand this hypocrisy.

durhamjen Thu 23-Jun-16 21:28:59

Anya, you voted to leave. You are just trying to justify it.
You do not try to understand my point of view. Why should I try to understand yours?
