To be honest I am not sure why the term Common Man nor Working Man has caused such a hoo ha and requires an explanation. Neither terms have been used in a derogatory manner , if they had I could maybe understand but I am baffled.

I don't think Boris would be a very good choice tbh. He may have that certain 'charisma' but he is too funny to be PM. Can you think of any other country in the world that has a funny PM? Silvio Berlusconi aside.

Jacob Rees-Mogg would get my vote to take over the Conservative Party. Throughout the EU referendum campaign his arguments to leave have been measured and well thought out. In the debates I heard him take part in he never resorted to insults or shouting down anyone who disagreed with him, unlike some of those he was debating with. Instead he listened to their arguments and then responded quietly and politely but still with passion and conviction.
I agree sunseeker, however, I don't think his perceived 'poshness' would go down very well with a lot of the electorate, although his Brexit arguments were very persuasive. He nearly convinced me. Nearly.

Boris was a rubbish mayor of London, wanting an airport in the middle of a nature reserve, completely messing up all the roads in the centre of London with the cycle super highway which is really dangerous. Goodness only knows how he will perform as PM. Id rather have Theresa May.

Someone from the Tory back benches would be good. Our MP, Jesse Norman, refused to campaign on either side, but diligently facilitated meetings around his constituency where those with differing views could make their point. We need someone with that sort of vision even-handedness and feet on the ground.
