Only a few months and there will be a new PM, who?

Anniebach Sat 25-Jun-16 08:35:10

F77, yes all for himself , but it was sad , he had brought it on himself though

LullyDully Sat 25-Jun-16 08:37:34

I think we have to rely on someone not well know yet talented . Who knew anything about Jo Cox before she was killed?

I think Boris would be a big mistake, he is charismatic but does he have the statesmanship?
Theresa is too grey,
Nicky Morgan looks like she could burst into tears at any moment.
Rees Mog....No, too old school. Gove
( need I say more ).
The problem the Tories have is that they have gouged each other's eyes out over the referendums. Good luck finding a leader with integrity.
A talented outsider is needed, if such a one exists or IDS perhaps, maybe, maybe not.confused

daphnedill Sat 25-Jun-16 08:39:19

IDS? No No No! Please! Anyway, he's already been leader once and was rubbish.

Hunt Sat 25-Jun-16 09:41:58

What about Chris Grayling?

Anniebach Sat 25-Jun-16 09:44:48

Grayling said he hadn't decided if he would stand yet - which means he needs to sniff around Westminster to see what support he may have

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 09:45:12

He always looks slightly nervous and apologetic. Mind you he needs to be

All the Brexit lot seem a tad quiet considering the chaos they have caused

Anniebach Sat 25-Jun-16 11:45:47

The Brexit lot may be rather worried, Johnson assumed we had several years for Cameron to iron out problems , now who ever is PM come October will have to do the ironing out , not waddle into no 10 in a few years time ,

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:56:41

Early election? I say yes!

Anniebach Sat 25-Jun-16 11:59:26

Some 'experts' say before Christmas

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:59:47

Will there be a refigeration of political parties? Possibly.

BlueBelle Sat 25-Jun-16 12:29:59

I am so angry at what happened I m angry with the lying Farage who pulled the biggest crippling lie about the 3 and half million going to theNHS then blatantly saying the voters misunderstood, with a bloody bus with it on the side Gove was a disaster for educatio Johnson is up his own axxx and badly wants it Well if he gets in and Trump we ll have Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee not sure which is the dumber.........seperated at birth Idiots the lot of them

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 25-Jun-16 12:38:52

I won't vote in a general election. I don't care anymore.

Devorgilla Sat 25-Jun-16 12:47:52

Well, Bluebelle, according to www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/british-lose-right-to-claim-that-americans-are-dumber the Americans have had to concede their place at the top to us for the EU result but they will almost certainly regain it if they elect Trump.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 12:49:30

They won't be so stupid. We are the champion idiots.

Devorgilla Sat 25-Jun-16 12:50:06

jinglbellsfrocks, please do vote in the next election. Remember all the 16/17 year olds will be on register by then. Should have been on for this referendum. No wonder so many are furious and London is a very angry city.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 13:45:54

God Almighty!!!!

We are in this bloody mess because it was all about the Tories.

Now we want decisions and action. And we have to wait because it is all about the Tories and their leadership campaign.

What else are they going to do to mess up this country?

obieone Sat 25-Jun-16 14:10:27

Personally I think they should act right away.
And thankfully the EU want us to act quickly.
And the city doesnt like uncertainty.

But the tories and MPs and other people at the "top", always liek their holidays. It is all about their holidays in my opinion.

Even riots do not get some of them back from their holidays.

Leticia Sat 25-Jun-16 18:35:45

I don't see how they can do anything at the moment- the fall out is huge and gathering momento.
Many of those who voted out believed the money would go to the NHS and that we would simply close our borders to immigrants!
Added to those who are angry at being mislead there are the tactical voters who didn't think they would count, those who didn't vote because they expected to stay in and those who it is only just dawning on what it really means to come out.
There is also the anger of Scotland and the anger of the young, the ones who have the longest to live with a situation they didn't choose.
We should never have been asked.

Leticia Sat 25-Jun-16 18:47:07

Sorry- I was muddling my threads but I still think the dust needs to settle a bit.
My heart sinks at the thought of having to go through it all and don't like any of the contenders so far.

daphnedill Sat 25-Jun-16 19:11:17

I think Dave should say "Ha ha! We were just doing a test run to see what would happen if we really left the EU. Sorry we didn't let you in on the secret, but we wanted to make it as authentic as possible."

Meanwhile, a group of reasonably impartial people should be instructed to produce a fact sheet, explaining how the EU works, how it affects the UK and what the risk factors might be, making sure that people understood they are risks not facts.

All campaigning should be banned.

This article might help concentrate the mind:

Thanks mamie I'll get the paper in the morning. He rights extremely well.

Anniebach Sat 25-Jun-16 19:26:58

Not like Boris to avoid tv cameras, wonder why , he led the campaign, he should tell the country what his plans are for it

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 19:28:30

He hasn't a clue one of them have.
