Traingate

The silliest thing about the Corbyn "Traingate" fiasco is that before the railways were privatised, I often had to sit on the floor toing and froing between Preston and Edinburgh. Sometimes there was no buffet car. And the toilets were often disgusting.

I guess Corbyn didn't travel by train much back then hmm

However, the trains I travelled on usually had more space for luggage than current Virgin trains.

I have got a Co-op near me, but I don't go there much now because Mr Ocado brings my shopping to me. He is coming this evening between seven and eight.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 27-Aug-16 15:01:59

That anniebach swears like a trooper. All the time.

She is very norty.

Jalima Sat 27-Aug-16 15:02:00

and Diane Abbott
hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 27-Aug-16 15:03:01

Don't report me for my lying ways, please annie!

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 27-Aug-16 15:03:50

Yeah. Diane Abbott is another one. Needs the old carbolic soap.

Jalima Sat 27-Aug-16 15:04:14

Well, at least Jeremy stuck to his principles and refused to allow his son to go to grammar school.
However, his then wife, mother of the boy, got round the problem by divorcing Jeremy and sent their son to the grammar school.

Perhaps Jeremy hated his school so is against all grammar schools. Or perhaps his mother was never there for him because she taught in a grammar school too.

Who knows what forms people's views and politics?

Jalima Sat 27-Aug-16 15:05:31

X post - makes it sound as if I am saying that Diane Abbott swears like a trouper grin
I meant she sent her son to private school.

Whether she swears or not I do not know.

Anniebach Sat 27-Aug-16 15:06:03

Jen, the only time I have used the f word is when quoting John McDonald who used it on the stage at the O2 at a Momentum rally . Does this mean he will be thrown out of the party?

Yes I know someone with a son at Eton, I know a relative of the Duchess of Cornwall, I know Tiggy Legge Burke, I dated the brother of a Tory MP , I even shook hands with Anne Widdy , I also know Dai the milk, Dai the Dairy, Stephen Kinnock, Peter Hain, Spike the post , Chris Bonningham, and stepped on the foot of Mel Gibson, oh and Salman Rhusdie helped me load shopping in the boot of my car

Yes I post about Shami , she interests me, joins the SDP formed by four who were labour members but formed a new party because they wouldn't remain in a party with Militants, now Shami has gained entry to the Lords because of her work for a militant Labour Party member .

Anniebach Sat 27-Aug-16 15:08:33

Jingle ok,i will not report you if you don't report me for the use of sodding , I like that word

Anniebach Sat 27-Aug-16 15:11:10

No Jalima, bye has not stuck to his principles, this is the man who wants honesty in politics but lies on national tv

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 27-Aug-16 15:13:15

I will let you use that one ab. (though no such nortiness would ever pass these lips)

Jalima Sat 27-Aug-16 15:15:20

Reminds me of Good King Wenceslas

Heat was in the very sod
Which the Saint had printed

Anniebach Sat 27-Aug-16 15:17:37

Thank you .jingle.

Good one Jalima

durhamjen Sat 27-Aug-16 15:32:10

If you read the post, you will see that context doesn't matter. It's the use of the F word that gets your membership taken away from you, and then you have to appeal to get it back.
Jingl, I don't think you need worry. You have to be a Labour Party member.

When people trawl for a word, that's what they do, catch anything in the net.

durhamjen Sat 27-Aug-16 15:33:39

Don't you think, really, Annie it's time you gave up pretending not to know how to spell McDonnell?

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 27-Aug-16 15:35:05

Really?! confused

And do you have to promise never to swear again? Are we talking political parties, or convents?

durhamjen Sat 27-Aug-16 15:36:50

Corbyn is not a member of militant, either, any more than I am or others on here. Don't let prejudice get in the way of a good rant.
Do you work on the principle that if you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth? Because it doesn't.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 27-Aug-16 15:37:30

Oh. I thought it was McDonald.

Beammeupscottie Sat 27-Aug-16 15:40:29

They are all the same; Abbott, Shami et all. Pouring derision on the middle-systems but secretly wanting to be part of it.

durhamjen Sat 27-Aug-16 15:47:48

www.theguardian.com/society/2016/aug/26/lower-benefit-cap-to-hit-quarter-of-a-million-poor-children

The Tories really care about people, do they?
Another quarter of a million poor children will be even poorer in the autumn.
Very caring. Homelessness on the rise, foodbanks on the rise, fuel poverty.
At least Labour care about that.

Anniebach Sat 27-Aug-16 15:48:18

Corbyn led a campaign to get expelled militants back into the party,

I choose to write McDonald because when the toad pops up on tv Old McDonald had a farm comes to mind, old McDonalds farm - Animal .farm.

And do not accuse me of posting lies please

i don't work on a principle Jen, I have principles

Anniebach Sat 27-Aug-16 15:52:16

And there will more poor children if Corbyn remains leader, doesn't bother him, he gets to spout his militant politics sod breaking up the party.

Who here would hang onto a job even though you were adding to the number of children living in poverty ?

Beammeupscottie Sat 27-Aug-16 16:01:21

Corbyn's annoyed me again to-day;

A. He doesn't consider himself rich on £168,000 p.a. I rather think you are Mr. C.

B. He loves Classical Music but believes The Elite have hi-jacked High Culture. A lot of working-class people love classical music - which can be enjoyed through many sources. He wants everyone to go to Glyndebourne, if they wish.

p.s. No wonder he shops at the Co-op - Lord Sainsbury is transferring his Party donation to the Liberals.

durhamjen Sat 27-Aug-16 16:11:19

Every damn Tory MP, Annie.
Isn't it time you started attacking the right target again, and stopped calling Corbyn a militant when he isn't?
That's a lie.

Sainsbury donates to both Labour and Libdems.
He is a Labour Lord.

Why does Corbyn liking classical music and wanting everyone to go to Glyndebourne if they wish annoy you?
Nothing wrong with a bit of egalitarianism. Better than a Tory MP talking about stepping over the homeless when they leave the opera.

durhamjen Sat 27-Aug-16 16:14:40

By the way, the boss of Sainsbury's had an 86% payrise this year, to £2.8 million.
That's rich.

Lord Sainsbury gave more to the Labour and Libdem remain campaigns than Corbyn earns.
Isn't that something to complain about?
