Well that was interesting. I should say Panarama was also enlightening but not as forceful and uncompromisingly direct in it's reporting content as Dispatches.

I'm not going to simply post on the Lib Dem Thread which has turned into a Labour Thread as I think this programme summed up exactly what I have thought and have been posting since the formation of Momentum , it is a ' Party within a Party.'

I will say now to those who will see it as propaganda and take umbrage at my post you cannot argue with what you see and hear from the horses mouth, no matter how hard you might try and no doubt will.

The fact Momentum are doing all they can to play down the Momentum name in connection to the ' Jeremy for Labour ' Campaign , the use of the Unite Union office are significant, the way the reporter was paid is serious stuff and I hope there is further investigation into that. Will anybody take it up I wonder?.

Has anybody 'Cicked' on the ' Jeremy for Labour ' Campaign or answered questions on the phone in connection with it. The reason I ask is if you have you are, as I understood it, on the data base on the Jeremy For Labour Services?. Listen to what is said about it , you may not be too happy, or maybe you will of course.

There is to be fair a Momentum explanation and statement at the end of the programme but it is worth viewing to make your own mind up if you didn't catch it.

That's ok ehite wave, it just makes me so cross when good labour MP's are mocked . I recall some time ago a different poster defending the militants in Liverpool accused Glenys Kinnock and those with her of behaving like Winnie Mandela, I was there and it was so untrue. Joe Cox chose to work for Glenys , would she hove done if Glenys had been anything else but a decent woman . Anyway it's the past .

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 18:54:35

Wasn't mocking Kinnock at all, any more than you were mocking Foot for losing an election.

Richard Murphy talking at the Labour Party conference tomorrow on the Fair Tax mark.

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 19:14:39

After seeing the Labour first meeting on the news I have decided to give them my support.

Derek Hatton is at the party conference, no surprise there

www.change.org/p/greater-manchester-fire-rescue-service-stand-with-manchester-firefighters-no-to-mass-dismissals

All Labour Party members should want to sign this.

Manchester are going to sack all their firefighters and only take back those who will sign up to twelve hour shifts.

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 19:18:59

I thought you didn't agree with groups within groups, Annie.
We can now truly call you right wing labour rather than socialist.

rosesarered Sun 25-Sept-16 19:22:39

The police have been doing 12 hour shifts for quite a long time.

rosesarered Sun 25-Sept-16 19:23:11

And nurses.

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 19:40:57

I will reply this once to you durhamjen even thought I hsve respected your wishes and not replied to your post. You can call me right wing Labour if you choose , truth has nothing to do with it though . Satisfied your goading has finally earned you a response? How sad , So very McDonald though, you have certainly learned from a master of ?

nightowl Sun 25-Sept-16 19:45:46

Having worked 12 hour shifts, day and night, for 12 years I would say they are unsafe and should be phased out rather than introduced. And if posts are being slashed it suggests cover is being reduced, which is even more dangerous.

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 20:05:22

I sgree, 12 hour shifts are wrong, more so in the fire service , i msy have this wrong, is it the decision of the council I think a councillor claimed it was caused by the cut backs by the government

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 20:48:51

Caused by government cuts but it's still the council, a Labour council, that is sacking its workers and only reemploying those who will agree to the new conditions.
Remind you of anyone?

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 20:51:30

Hope you never have to be saved by a fireman at the end of his shift, roses.
The FBU are saying the same as the BMA, unfair and unsafe.

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 21:29:54

Derek Hatton , the very well known Militant

Devorgilla Sun 25-Sept-16 22:04:22

Just returned from the old US of A where I fear from conversations I overheard we could end up with Trump in the Residence. Also, never met a single person, either from the States or elsewhere in the world, who felt our vote for Brexit was a good idea. Asked repeatedly why we did it. What else could we reply but Immigration, immigration, immigration.
Now we have JC back at the helm. Well, I believe in democracy so must live with that reality. He tells me he will wipe the slate clean and unite the party. I will await that outcome. In the meantime all the LP gets is my basic subscription, taken off Direct Debit, and no more, until I see proof of unity and real leadership. He now needs to reach out to the wider electorate, the ones who really matter at election time, who were not involved in this leadership election and convince them. Interesting days ahead I feel. It helps pass those dark nights in October through to April. I am encouraged by our new hierarchy to get more active. Believe me, I will.

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 22:12:40

Careful, Annie. You've responded again. You're beginning to make a habit of it.

Unfortunately, Devorgilla, it's Theresa May at the helm.

Devorgilla Sun 25-Sept-16 22:18:20

Yes, dj, I know it is Theresa at the helm. That's why we need a really first class opposition. You tell me it is JC. The political 'shooting season' is just beginning for this year. He had better be up to the job and uniting the party. The ball is in his court. He has to lure the moderates back not them coming on 'bended knee' as I read today. How establishment is that!

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 22:18:24

Just listening to a woman from Momentum speaking on anti semitism she said - we now have the most anti racist leader ever . How can one be the most anti racist? One is either anti racist or racist, stupid woman, has she forgotten calling a woman a bigot helped cost Brown the election , and Corbyn is snubbing MP's to give this stupid women a vote on who should be in the shadow cabinet

Suppose she believes one can be a little bit pregnant

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 22:23:38

Hi Devo, nice to see you back, could have done without the cheery Trump comment

Corbyn is gun fire proof, he stays behind bullet proof protection

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 22:25:00

Nice of you, Annie. He wants to give you a vote on who should be in the shadow cabinet, too. You are a woman, are you not? How should he differentiate between her and you?

There are actually quite a few stupid MPs. How should he differentiate? Should they have to pass the exam on the British constitution in order to have a vote?

durhamjen Sun 25-Sept-16 22:28:40

Devorgilla, did you read the article by Andy Burnham, saying that the PLP never gave Corbyn a day's grace after he was elec ted last year?
They haven't given him a chance this day either. It seems they only will if he goes to them on bended knee.
What's wrong with them having a third each?

Last year he gave front bench jobs to the rebels. They plotted against him from the first day.
Why should he do so again?

Devorgilla Sun 25-Sept-16 22:32:22

Yes, AB, I did notice the heavies getting into the lift with him at Conference.

Devorgilla Sun 25-Sept-16 22:35:06

In fairness to JC I do not believe he himself gets involved in any shenanigans. Can't say the same about everyone he surrounds himself with. Half a million people? Only an idiot would think they are all of the 'honest, kind and gentler politics.

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 22:46:52

I think he is sly Devo, he dodged full campaigning during the Brexit campaign because he wanted out , has said so often enough.

It is said McDonald is the power behind him , perhaps sly is unkind, not sure, but McDonald's puppet

Anniebach Sun 25-Sept-16 22:50:40

Half a million? So he only needs to win another 11 or 12 million votes and he gets the key to no 10
